The Iranian women's soccer team was in tears after being forced to forfeit a 2012 London Olympics qualifying match this past weekend because it showed up to play in hajibs. FIFA banned the Islamic head scarf in 2007, saying that it could cause choking injuries -- the same reason it gave for recently banning snoods (neck warmers). FIFA also has strict rules against any religious statements in team uniforms.

Interesting comment. Just who put these women in “the middle of this debate”?
It must be the women themselves, in their life-long quest for modesty...at least that’s what they ALWAYS tell us. But then they couldn’t put themselves into the middle of this little ruckus...as it takes three parties for one to be in the middle.
You wouldn’t think that the MEN in Iran are the third party, would you? Why this would mean that the women are essentially slaves...and they would never agree with that conclusion (publicly).

Glad someone is doing something to impede the spread of Islam. Too bad it wasn’t the US/UK/et all government. Oh well, one piece at a time.
And speaking of pieces, I’m not doubting for a second that the corporate HQ will end up bombed or one or more of the employees gets kidnapped/killed over this. It’s pathetic that such will need to happen - repeatedly, before the public at large wake the hell up to the threat.
I am truly astounded by the comments of freepers here who should know better. This headscarf crap is forced on these Iranian women. On their own the majority if not all of these young women would not be wearing these symbols of mullacracy and oppression — just take a good look at the Iranian community in exile and show me how many are wearing the veil. It frustrates me that even here so many fellow freepers don’t realize who are the good guys and who are the bad guys in Iran.

So long as the entrapment is in their minds, no.
This is clear — it is slavish devotion to an ideology that should be dead.
FIFA allowed a uniform that fits the ideology of the pedophile-followers’ death mindset. The decision to not take advantage of that is because they are stupid. Or so cowed they are no longer what we would call “human.” Just cattle in the pedophile’s followers’ cattle pen.

1) why do photos of Muslim countries, decades ago, show most women not wearing head coverings?
because it is a recent requirement, started by the Muslim brotherhood, and other Islamists.
2) those women belong to a religion, that advocates killing non-believers. that says the most perfect man who should be emulated, had sex with a 9 year old girl, when he was 53. that had sex with a captive widow. (widowed, because his men had just killed her husband). and much much more.

3) remember the recent killings in Israel of that family, including the baby? would those women you want compassion for, show compassion for that Jewish family? or would they praise the killings? (...i know how i’d bet...)
4) and even if they are slaves, simply doing what the men want out of fear, they are still part of the expansion of Islam.

Ir is impossible to be a “good muslim.” That is like being a “good Satan worshipper.” It is an ideology based in evil, founded from evil, created by an evil person. Its entire purpose is to destroy all in its path (you may note that there has been not a single islamic invention in a thousand years).
The best one can be is a “stupid muslim” who does not understand the chains under which one labors.
