Bad news I just got a similar pop up when trying to acc ess Drudge but did not open it and had to force quit Safari. Do not open anything you do not know about.
Doesn’t Daisyjane69 say she got the virus from a favorite news site? I wonder if hers came from Drudge as well. This wouldn’t be the first time his site was a target of computer miscreants.
I’m on a MAC and the EXACT same thing happened to me when I tried to open Drudge. Took over everything and I could do NOTHING. EXCEPT use option/apple/escape. And it worked to rid my frozen computer of this crap. LUCKILY, I had hours before read that this kind of thing was happening, so I didn’t break down and hit “ok” when the pop up occurred. THANKS to FREEPERS who got the word out!
I had the same thing on Drudge yesterday, did a force quit immediately. Haven’t been back to Drudge since. Is the site ok now?
