Records released by the Pima County Sheriff's Department this week show that the four houses served with search warrants the morning of May 5 - when Jose Guerena was shot and killed by a SWAT team - are less than four miles apart and are all connected to the Guerena family.
And while initial reports were that doctors told the Guerena family that Jose had been shot 60 times, the Pima County medical examiner's preliminary report says he was shot 22 times. In its sole briefing on the incident, the Sheriff's Department said SWAT team members fired 71 rounds.
Aside from releasing more than 500 pages of documents about the incident, the department has remained mum since the May 10 briefing.
The raid netted drugs, large amounts of cash, bulletproof vests, about 30 cellphones and a stolen vehicle, records show, but no arrests have been made.

so how can this possibly be “unreasonable search and seizure”? >>>>>>>>>>>
The search warrant was used as a warrant of execution. I’d say that is unreasonable search and seizure in anybody’s book. A search was authorized by the judge, not an execution. This was an execution, the facts that we know so far lead logically to that conclusion, whether the Pima COuunty SWAT team was there under a color of right of search or not.Their action of non retaliatory , self initiated, fire could hardly be seen as authorized by a search warrant. The man was executed by a firing squad.
Hell, our military treats Afghani citizens better than that, having to ask for permission under current ROE before firing where civilians may be injured. Something to think about.
Objectively speaking, the guy was, literally, a mineworker and a marine. He was also a father and a husband. What do you find funny about that?... you jerk.
Further, there is absolutely no conclusive evidence whatsoever that he did anything illegal or even WRONG.
According to you however, some judge somewhere issued a warrant, therefor all bets are off - even if he's dead because of utter incompetence and stupidity.
Welcome to my idiot list.
In front of your kids?
Which one of us made the worse mistake? Me working from memory or you nitpicking?
What’s your problem? You’re the one who got the name wrong and then asked for comments. I commented.
So I made a mistake. I spent most of the day doing real work for my country, and wrote in haste.
Youre exactlly the type of guy who would become a cop and beat peoples asses!
Oh..how about Lon horuchi...or Weaver...lol. But you dont know those guys till you Google right?
I went back to look at the front page of AZstarnet.com to see if there were new stories or updates on this subject. They have a map that goes with this news story. The headline says “all four homes” and the map has five addresses highlighted. The fifth address is the rental house of a couple (somehow related to Alejandro Guerena’s wife, Pauline) who were killed in a home invasion in March of 2010. I have read a bunch of news stories regarding the March 2010 killings, but I do not recall reading about anything missing from the house in question. There was a 2-yr-old who was also shot in that home invasion, and there was a 10-yr-old in the house as well. The 10-yr-old was not shot and called 911.
I also wanted to point out that the casino in which Bertha Guerena (mom to Jose and Alejandro otherwise known as Alex) works is also within 4 miles of the other locations. I wonder if they surveilled her there.
Judging by your comment to me I can only come to the conclusion that you are a total asswipe!
Lon Horuchi....Randy Weaver....stop a second and google those names then think about what youre saying before you mouth off.
I don’t have to google those names - Lon Horuchi murdered Randy Weaver...what else is there to know?
Take a breath people sheesh.
Why should their chain of custody be assumed to be any
better than their rendering medical care was? Who knows
where any of this stuff came from?
Interesting to see how any former Marines have committed felonies.
Start with the University of Texas tower shooter Charles Whitman....then of course Lee Harvey Oswald....
WOW!! thats alot!!! boy did you ever go back a few Years to get those names....
You Sir are a TURD.
I read it from a local rag, within a week of the shooting.
One of the earlier FR articles had the link. It was a local newspaper blog with a local posting within about 36 hrs of the shooting.
mudracers' comments: As a friend and co-worker you get to know the person you work next too, you learn about who they are aboout their personal life about their wife and children and what they stand for. This man is no criminal, he is one of the nicest person that i have worked with, the only way i can describe what happened is he he put in a long hard 12 hour grave yard shift as a miner and beleive when i say hard i mean hard work. He went home greeted is family like any father would do took a shower and went to bed. They he was rudely awaken by officers invading his home without announcing that they were law inforcement. He did what any father would do is arm himself to protect his family. He was a marine in my eyes he is a hero. I beleive if officers would have knocked on his door he would opened it with zero confortation and he would be alive today. The sheriffs department has been to our place of work to search his locker sounds to me they are fishing for something that does not exsist. Jose we miss you and our prayers go out to your family, God Bless.
It appears that DainBramage believes that all of us who believe that the cops murdered Jose Guerena are cop haters not patriots who believe in the Constitution and the right to be safe in our own homes.
I found a Facebook page that had comments from Marine buddies of Jose Guerena. I don’t have the link and I’m not on the same computer I was on when I saw it or I would search the history. There was at least one coworker who posted on one of the local tv station stories on the subject. I think it was KGUN9.com.
Which Campaign Hat is a Marine hat and which one is the Border Patrol Hat?
