Disgraced American football star Tiki Barber faced fresh controversy today after comparing his fall from grace to the life of Holocaust victim Anne Frank.
Speaking to Sports Illustrated, the former Giants star and TV personality, compared living in his Jewish agent's attic to doing a, 'reverse Anne Frank thing.'
The comments are the latest in a string of gaffes and scandals that have plagued Barber since his professional playing career ended in 2006.
In the Sports Illustrated article Barber, 36, spoke of moving with his 23-year-old girlfriend Traci Johnson into the house of his agent Mark Lepselter. He joked the couple were hiding out in Mr Lepselter's attic.
Mr Barber said: 'Lep’s Jewish. It was like a reverse Anne Frank thing.'
This latest controversy comes after Barber announced in March he would attempt an NFL comeback, five years after retiring from the game.

Tiki’s a very bitter guy. The Giants winning the Super Bowl the season after he retired messed with his head in a big way. But he was always somewhat of a malcontent.

Probably a dumb thing to do in any event, but I don't think he's saying "my troubles are as bad as Anne Frank's". This seems like the press making a mountain out of a molehill.

The scenario is identical, but whaddya wanna bet that he’s labeled a racist from all corners?
Barber’s got good taste in his women - Arnold should take a page from this guy’s book. Personally I think the wife is actually slightly better looking than the 23 year old girlfriend.

Very, stupid comment, but I don’t think he meant to compare his suffering to Anne Frank’s . It seems more like a bad “Jewish attic” joke, than a bad holocaust joke.
Maybe Tiki should audition to take Steve Carell’s spot as the boss on “The Office”. That “joke” sounds just like something Michael Scott (or Joe Biden) would say.
At any rate, I think we have enough evidence to conclude that Ronde is not the evil twin in the Barber family. :)
I’d like to look up his girlfriends dress, though. Pretty nice except fog the fact she went with this crapbag when his wife was pregnant with twins.

This idiot has just redefined “stupid!” He should remain unemployed, and should accept discrimination against him as the norm because being this dumb should bar one from being in the society.
