Of course I'm not for cap & tax. In fact, I'd already taken Pawlenty off my slate. I merely said that with these few remarks (ethanol, medicare, SS) over the past few days, he just might find his way back on...i.e. he's getting my attention. Does that mean I'm going 'gaga' over him? OF course not. He's walked back his statements on C&T, and it remains to be seen apparently how sincere he is about that. If I wrote off every candidate with whom I had one or two issues, I'd stay home on election day.

I'm not going to do that. Too many men far better than I have fought, suffered, bled and died to give me my vote, so I'm not going to throw it away by not voting. Consequently, I'm eventually going to have to vote for somebody with whom I may not see eye to eye on 100% of the issues. C&T is a pretty serious one, but if he's walked back his support, and actively promotes deregulation, reigning in the EPA, etc. I'd happily overlook the fact that he once supported something I disagree with.

Pawlenty has repudiated his previous support for cap and trade.
