AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

I'm not saying that Limbaugh is doing it wrong, I'm saying there are key gaps that he's uniquely in a position to address, and that he's in that position because we put him there.

and your bam bam point that the voting public is led and not dependable is undocumented too the 2010 midterm elections prove your theory is bullshit and your bam bam point that the voting public is led and not dependable is undocumented too the 2010 midterm elections prove your theory is bullshit

Let's also look at the 2006 election. The Democrats took over because of a few key messages:

1. Republicans losing their way, no doubt about that.

2. Democrats hammering on the Mark Foley race in Florida, having held back incriminating, offensive (but not illegal) texts to former House pages, until just 10 weeks before the election. Then, using the Mark Foley incident, they tainted the entire House GOP leadership as being enablers of child molesters. How was the voting public not led to use a single House race in Florida to throw out the entire GOP and put Nancy Pelosi in charge? One example was the "Don't Vote" ads by the AARP to subliminally suggest that people stay home and not bother to vote.

3. Democrats running faux conservatives in conservative districts, and then getting Republicans to vote for them.

I'll agree with you that today, people have come to see what they did wrong in 2006, and the wave threw out the faux conservative Democrats that they installed in 2006. It took more than clear messages to do that in 2010, though. It also took those faux conservative Democrats to side with the majority over their stated principles in ramming through the health care legislation against the population's wishes.

But I'm not convinced yet that the public has grown past being led by slick messages.

FROM EMAIL FRIEND: We are currently in Detroit, Michigan. This is what we have to deal with. Proof that the Detroit school system works! And I bet they want a raise in pay. This is an actual picture of a Burger King in Detroit.

my guess is that if rush changed into something he is not now, his popularity and influence would plummet

In other words, it's hard to argue with success.

Using your analogy, I see it as we're playing baseball while the Democrats are playing football.

You can argue over how to get more base hits, while I argue about how not to get tackled anymore.

What Rush is talking about now is EXACTLY what I am talking about. Reid says something and it becomes a Breaking Story carried by all the Dem media minions. Rush says we have to accept it as it will always be there. Fine. Okay. I get it, but how do we counteract it, drown it out?

LOL!

Wasn't that a TV ad once? Wasn't there a commercial where a golf player was about to swing at the ball while a bunch of football defensive linesmen were bearing down on him?

The Democrats ARE playing a different game with respect to legislation and that is a fact. Establishment Republicans seem either unwilling or unable to play their game and I am leaning toward unwilling.

depends on what you are willing to do

there were some powerful adverts on tv during the 2010 elections - organize a group to put out an advert like that

or do the lazy thing like me - throw money at those groups - i suspect rush does a lot of this too

like you, i’d like an answer to that - but have come to the conclusion that the answer won't be as easy as having rush fix it

Limbaugh was right just now when referring to the Gingrich-Gregory and Shelby Steele examples.

Republicans won't begin unifying there messaging until they are willing to confront and criticize Obama as the PRESIDENT, and stop worrying about being called racist because the president is black. Being black does not absolve him from criticism as president.

AARP as afore mentioned is suckin air

the media has 6 percent credibility

network tv has less viewers that decade ago in spite of population increases

Big Oil attacks do not swap the public

Drudge is the largest media source on the planet

voters of all ages know what RINO is

81 percent of voters believe Obambi is lieing about his past

69 percent believe our president wants Israel in a tornado’s path

again..............who is winning ?

I never was and never will be for Rush to fix it, but when it comes to the political games, it would be great for a voice like Rush to go a little further in depth on better ways for a political noob like me to get in the game. Or maybe a few shows of in depth analysis on Bills like Ryan's budget.

Netanyahu is who he is because he's battle-tested, literally. After fighting in wars of survival, a little lip from Obama is not going to sway him when his beloved country is at stake.

Reid, Pelosi, and Obama pushed through Obamacare.

Reid won't move on a budget.

Obama runs this country via Czars.

Reid and Obama will not budge on making us more energy independent via any means necessary, meanwhile every American has to deal with this tax-hike end around by paying more at the pump.

The Democrats will not talk seriously on securing the borders first, they only want amnesty after amnesty after amnesty.

Despite a million reasons to vote against Reid in 2010, he wins re-election.

Obama's Administration violates the Constitution at every turn.

And, unless it happened when I was asleep, there has not been a massive popular call to deport all Dems in charge to the country of their choice.

If Obama goes down in 2012, I will believe we are winning. But as of right now, We the People are not winning.
