lol, I’ve lived in tornado alley, in areas prone to floods, below a dam,(Sacramento) in earthquake country, LA and San Francisco, and I will say hands down, tornadoes are the worst. Of course, we are prone to fires in forest areas, that cant be fun

What part of the USA would you live in that is free of crime, illegals, tornadoes, hurricanes and for me an important factor over abundance of libs?

Idaho, maybe - but it's cold. I like Arizona. Sheriff Joe takes care of the illegals that remain, and the weather is much better. :)

Yeah yeah yeah. Don’t self-deploy. Don’t send food, water, clothing or blankets. Just send money.

ARC: "And if we don't want to use your money to buy supplies for the survivors in Denning, we won't. We know better than you what's needed."

I clicked on your links expecting to see a soddy or that it was a satire, but those sites actually look very interesting. If I were younger and could afford it, I’d look into that construction.

Even Philadelphia had a tornado this week (EF0):

They are rare for this area but increasing in frequency it seems to me; haven’t done any research about that alleged increase yet.

Our church is doing that already. We had a tornado in Minneapolis that has left thousands homeless, and we have a team that has been dispatched to help with getting supplies, etc. to tornado victims. They were ready to go Sunday afternoon after the storms hit to help, but the city didn’t want anyone that didn’t live in that area getting in the way of rescue and recovery efforts, which is understandable. There were already idiot looters out there, but from what my friends who live in North Minneapolis told me, they were sent packing by a group of residents that weren’t going to put-up with that nonsense in their neighborhoods. Good for them!

My parents in NW Arkansas are working with their church from 10-7 today in tornado relief for Joplin and will do the same tomorrow. They have a semi filled with supplies for the people of Joplin.

I know of many other churches involved in tornado relief. It is wonderful when the hands and feet of the Body of Christ work together and are on the move!

Praying for everyone affected by these disasters! The destruction has been horrific and devastating. :^(

My point is that if look county to county - Outside of the Portland Salem metro area republicans win hands down. In my county if are a democrat and you run for election, you are wasting your money. Hasn’t been a democrat elected to public office in decades.

If you scroll over those Eastern Oregon counties and look at the vote spread it isn’t even close - Reds win hands down.

Actually, if you built into the side of a hill along the so called “military crest” and a mudslide were to occur the likely result is that the earth would slide around the home and down the hill leaving the home uncovered and that’s about all. I hope I’d be savvy enough not to put it in a flood plain or where there is a possibility of flash flood. I already live in hurricane alley (Miami, FL) and have been through around 18 storms in my life including Katrina (as a CAT 1 storm) and Andrew which was CAT 5. Also knee deep in LIBS and illegals and crime but I ccw and I’ve not been a victim of crime since I was in high school. At least not a completed crime.... We’d like to live in the Western North Carolina mountains....

Love the mountains of NC and Virginia. My mother had a cabin in Nelson County, Va. Stunningly beautiful area. However, have to tell you that at one time Nelson Co flooded due to an unpredicted aftermath from Hurricane Camille. Quite a few deaths...mountain slides and children ripped from the arms of their parents. There was a book about it. Google it if you wish ...it was a freak storm. As for Fla..my friend lost her home in Vero Beach during a hurricane. They rebuilt...Fla is too crowded for me. Mountains sound inviting..Smokies, Blue Ridge

I do not pretend to know the mind of God. That is a bit above my pay grade, as someone once said.

However, it occurs to me that if God wanted to “get” Obama, he could do so easily. It wouldn’t be necessary to sacrifice several hundred innocent people in another part of the country.

God called my mobile phone, and said he would have gotten Obama, but unfortunately, Obama's out of the country, and God tries to keep things domestic. Cheaper that way.
