Perhaps an online Condolence Book would be beneficial for gathering the condolences, prayers and thoughts of those of us unable to attend. Then, give his wife the web address so that she can read them and know that the folks who show up are only a small fraction of those who support her, and are outraged at the MURDER of her husband.
Just a thought. (If it is done, I'd like the opportunity to be one of the first to sign it.)
I believe a full independent Congressional investigation needs to be called for in this shocking case. I haven’t kept up with the changing story of the known-incompetent Sheriff Dupnik under whose administration this happened. They averred at some point that Guerena was guilty as sin of drug smuggling and they had probable cause to think he would be, then came up in the raid with Mexican drug smuggling paraphernalia like a tribute poster to a supposed saint of drug running. It seems fishy that there does not seem to be a live recording of the raid showing the proper warning the Sheriff claims there was and that Mrs. Guerena says there wasn’t — both persons who might have vested interests in the outcome.
Second, Dupnik needs to be replaced. To hear the reports, Pima County is in the middle of a major Mexican drug-smuggling corridor, and we don’t need Kaptain Keystone if there truly are violent, ruthless Mexican illegales (which Guerena was not) romping back and forth through Pima.
The police state is here. Wake up, smell the gunsmoke.
Personally I don't think the soapbox is going to do a whole hell of a lot of good, what with the number of government "educated" citizens in this country.
Tick... Tick... Tick...
I have a bad feeling about this. Nothing wrong with the meet up itself, but there are some whack leftist nuts down there (back in the ‘80’s they had a pirate Marxist-Maoist radio station). And add to that the astoundingly dumb Sheriff Dupnick, and I would not be surprised if he decided that this group was an “unlawful assembly”, and to send in his thugs to “bust ‘em up”. Maybe even augmented with some unionists.
Let’s just say that could result in some amazingly bad karma.
To all those who do get to attend. Be exremely careful that the same fate that the murdered former Marine[ I cannot spell his name]suffered does not happen to you. Never lose sight of the fact that these are killhappy individuals with no consciense or principles that you are dealing with. Do not under any circumstances give them any excuse to kill you, because they will.
I think it is a lovely idea
Yes to all you wrote.
Plus: DO UNTO OTHERS. They shoot first, and ask questions later. Therefore demand that they be removed from their posts first, and investigated later. Immediately remove them, and replace them with officials who take a public vow against the deployment of swat teams in such circumstances as prevailed in this case.
Protest alone won’t suffice. It must be protest that demands and produces immediate results. Don’t disperse until you get what you rightfully demand. That very day, that very hour. Do not accept promises to “look into it” or requests to “let the law take its course.” It is the course of the law that is now the problem.
Now is as good as time as any to bring the subject of SWAT team tactics up with your mayors and town councilors. Grab a friend, make an appointment and go do it.
IMO, it should be common knowledge where our city, state and federal officials live. Yes, the county bureaucrats, the local, state and federal police officers, every single one of them. Let’s remove the cloak of anonymity from these public officials! They work for us, remember?
It is not difficult to make someone live in fear for their lives as many of you already know. Making our elected local, county, state or federal officials acutely aware of that feeling is not a popular idea but I assure you after once having that taste in your mouth, it is not one quickly forgotten. Why should we be the ones who fear them if we are not criminals? Dont go after them in their protected offices when their homes and families are as vulnerable as ours are.
If our LEOs or military troops under the orders of our elected officials ever administer violence to US citizens then I believe it should be returned in equal force to their superiors families.
I promise you that a single bullet through the kitchen window of the Mayors house will make for an excited dinner conversation with his wife that evening. The Mayor will then understand exactly what he did when he ordered violence against his townspeople.
The Chief of Polices wife wouldn’t hesitate to explain in detail to her husband what a wonderful job hes doing if her home were to receive a copper jacketed message through the front door.
This is a good idea. I see very little good and a lot of bad results from these paramilitary tactics.
IOWs any average American who has the gall to exercise his or her 2nd Amendment protected right to KABAs.
Tucson is second only to Mexico City for violent kidnappings so I don't think 'if' is necessary when discussing security concerns in Pima county.
Is there anyone else in Yuma who is interested in going?
A soap box can always be turned upside down and used to store ammo....
I would also sign.
OathKeeper #460.
:-)
This case is exactly why we have Grand Juries, the problem lies in the way we have allowed Government at all levels to Bastardize the System as it was intended, and until about 40-50 years ago was in full swing routing out corruption. Our system was setup so that citizens saw blatant corruption and injustice in GOVERNMENT, the CITIZENS could form a Grand Jury by electing JURORS and Making their Case, Their Decision was Iron Clad and without Review, The corrupt were removed and imprisoned. It was and Still is the Law of the Land. The Problem is NOBODY READS THE CONSTITUTION anymore.
When I saw this - that the Oathkeepers were rallying, basically in opposition to government law enforcement violations of citizens’ rights,
I’m thinking that this is the first step to something rather “major” in the not too distant future.
