Could you even imagine Sarah Palin or some other Republican doing this? Wed never hear the end of it.
A message from US President Barack Obama and his wife, first lady Michelle Obama, apparently signed by the President with the wrong date of 2008 in the distinguished visitors book during a tour of Westminster Abbey, in central London, as part of his state visit to the United Kingdom, Tuesday May 24, 2011.

Do a search for “obama’s signature sideways”.
To: Cobra64
His signature is hilarious. His wife s looks like Lama. They can’t even write their name.

His signature is so, so, so ... is elaborate the word for it? Signatures like his indicate an inflated sense of self-worth.

so, he paused and thought about it, then changed the 7 to an 8? Now that makes it even odder! That if he realized he was writing the wrong year, and then corrects it to another wrong year that's not even CLOSE to the current year!!
What's up with that?!
Either it was intentional, or he's lost his MORE of his mind!

That is a very illustrative pic. Barry was in Malignant Narcissist heaven. He’s dreaming those days will return, but they are gone and all but forgotten. All the GOP has to do is avoid nominating a McCainesque-level loser, and ‘12 is ours.

Are you looking for the word “effete”?

I'm guessing this picture will NOT appear on the front page of tomorrow's NYT, and maybe it won't even be anywhere in the paper tomorrow. Well, the New York Times does have the AP wire story running at http://www.nytimes.com/aponline/2011/05/24/world/europe/AP-EU-Obama-Table-Tennis.html:
Other gift ideas for the president? How about spell check and a calendar. Visiting Westminster Abbey to lay a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Warrior, Obama and the first lady had occasion to sign the distinguished visitors' book. But the president appeared to have his election year in mind, dating his entry in the book May 24, 2008. "It is a great privilege to commemorate our common heritage and common sacrifice," he wrote. But he paused to check his spelling of "commemorate" with the Dean of Westminster before completing his message. A Westminster Abbey spokeswoman, who spoke on condition of anonymity in keeping with the abbey's policies, confirmed that Obama wrote the wrong date. She said it would not be erased and would remain that way in the book.

Now that makes it even odder! That if he realized he was writing the wrong year, and then corrects it to another wrong year that's not even CLOSE to the current year!! The New York Times is also reporting that he couldn't spell "commemorate" without prompting (see posting #115).

Notice how his handwriting is so small and his signature is so LARGE. I wish some handwriting expert should analyze that. I always heard that such tiny handwriting was typical of a selfish person or a person with little self- esteem. While a signature with such large first letters shows arrogance. Wonder if that is correct?

Perhaps.
Elegantly and effeminately effete works as a descriptive term for me.
