KABUL (Xinhua) -- Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar has been killed in Pakistan, a private television channel reported Monday.
"Mullah Omar was killed on way from Quetta to North Waziristan, " TOLO television said in its news bulletin.
However, it did not provide details on how he was killed and by whom.
Meanwhile, a security official confirmed the killing, saying, " it is correct that Mullah Omar has been killed."
But he did not disclose details

I got this link from Michael Yon. It needs confirmation from more serious sources, to be sure, but it could be real news....

Hi Admins-
This article, if true, _would_ be important news, but it _isn’t_ from a widely recognized news source.
Please feel free to refile to a different place, adjust the title as you see fit, etc., etc.

Hmmm. I sense a deal turning Afghanistan over to the Taliban in the making.

Check the BBC. I don’t have a link. Again the radio news is repeating that the BBC is saying Mullah Omar is dead.

Be prepared for versions 1 through 5 tomorrow, if true.

We’ll know when Obama takes credit for it.

I’m listening to the BBC World Service audio stream, and I haven’t heard any Mullah Omar story yet.
However, they have a lot of stories they’re working through, and perhaps it was covered briefly at the top of the hour.

Given your tagline, you might find this interesting.

Hoping it to be true, but seems he has been killed before, has more lives than a cat.

One very high level source said still trying to confirm. If that source doesn't know yet, it's simply not known yet.
