The Harper government is refusing to join the United States in calling for a return to 1967 borders as a starting point for Mideast peace, a position that has drawn sharp criticism from Canadas staunch ally Israel.
At a briefing ahead of the upcoming G8 summit in France, federal officials said the basis for the negotiations must be mutually agreed upon.

I only wish we could do more for Israel. Maybe sell them some Strykers? Build some naval vessels for them/
Go Canada!
That proposal will not bring peace.
It is definitely not a “peace proposal”
Don't equate this with the American people at large. The administration made this blunder, and the administration must be made to pay for it.
I am not sure what the policy is now, but in Quebec, I believe that it had become entirely French speaking for government services and schools. I hope that has changed as the French speaking nationalists drove out a lot of businesses. My point is that Canada knows what happens when you let a bunch of hateful radicals call the shots.
Not that I condone nuking anyone as the answer but nuke them? Really, how can we nuke them when we can’t even keep them out of congress and even the White House? How can you expect a muzzie CIC to nuke his pals?
You’re part of the problem, it was the ‘people at large’. They voted for him. This was the worst presidential vote EVER. And the people ‘voted’ for obama. Flame away.
The Obama spin machine is already racheting up - hence the beginning of the articles ‘Please don’t insult our president’ and so on and so forth.
Which will all make clear to the world that ‘our president’ is a wuss and liar and an arrogant fool.
Stay tuned and by this evening there will be a plethora of articles from the Zero Spin Machine. Unfortunately they will all read as silly as the premise that Zero’s feelings are hurt. Can he be any less presidential? I don’t think so.
Zero got taken to the woodshed by BiBi and he richly deserved it. I hope he has indigestion at dinner tonight.
Thank you, Canada!!
O Canada
I disagree with that. You take this too far. I’m not part of the problem, neither are you. When an administration puts forth policy that is clearly against American interests, and the opposite of what previous administrations and congresses have stood by, then it’s the administration; not American policy.
From what I’ve read on another recent thread, Congress is already looking at distancing itself from Obama and this policy. We cannot simply roll over any blame ourselves. That accomplishes nothing. We have to stand: For Israel, for America; for the World. This must be addressed, and simply whining about what happened in 2008 serves nothing.
The lead story on ABC World News was the French rape guy. The second story was the May 21 end-of-the-world story.
Not that I expected anything better from them.
Congratulations America. You are now to the left of Canada.
More and more it’s looking like Canada would be a good place for expatriot Americans. I’d love to see them begin to roll back their gun laws.
His worshippers aren’t laughing. They support him even if they don’t agree with him. It’s amazing.
Whoever tries sticking it to Israel won’t be in any shape to stick it to anyone else ever again. Google “Masada complex.”
I think his pillars are falling.
Thank you, Canada, for showing some sense when our president is acting like a preening moron.
I saw this article and I was very proud of my government and Prime Minister!!!
