In a major speech that sought to reframe U.S. policy in the Mideast, President Barack Obama endorsed a key Palestinian demand Thursday for the borders of its future state and prodded Israel to accept that it can never have a truly peaceful nation that is based on "permanent occupation."
Obama's urging that a Palestinian state be based on 1967 borders — those that existed before the Six-Day War in which Israel occupied East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza — marked a significant shift in U.S. policy and seemed certain to anger Israel.
Israel has said an endorsement of the 1967 borders would prejudge negotiations. Obama will meet at the White House on Friday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

This could be the first time an American government official ever referred to Israel's current position vis-a-vis the Palis as a "permanent occupation." The vocabulary is yet another tipoff as to what Obama is thinking.
Incidentally, Mark Levin just tore into the Jewish 'Rats in Congress who are standing right with Zero in their attitudes toward the Israel-Pali conflict.

Most Jewish Democrats are leftists FIRST, Americans SECOND, and Jews LAST, and I am speaking as a person of Jewish identity.
There are four denominations of Judaism: Reform, Orthodox, Conservative, and Democrat. The latter worships a Great Donkey and prays to the Holy Trinity: Franklin Roosevelt the Father, Barack Hussein the Son, and Lyndon Johnson the Holy Ghost. Eric Yoffie of the Union for “Reform Judaism” said in fact that gun control is part of the Jewish religion—I wonder in what Torah he found that one. Most Jewish Democrats would vote for Hitler if he ran with a D instead of an N after his name.
