Benjamin Haas, communication studies graduate student, will burn an American flag tomorrow at noon on the Parade Ground as part of a peaceful protest, according to Cody Wells, Student Government president.
Wells said Haas is exercising his First Amendment right to burn the flag. The burning comes nearly a week after Isaac Eslava was taken into custody after cutting down and burning the American flag flying over the War Memorial and stealing the University flag.
___ Sadly, a student has filed a peaceful protest with the university to burn an American flag at noon tomorrow. Please join our Student Body Leaders and the LSU Student Body on the parade grounds tomorrow at 1 p.m. to say the Pledge of Allegiance and sing the National Anthem. Thanks guys.

Someone oughta throw in a KORAN just for the fun of it!../sarcasm
As an LSU grad and post grad let me say I want to throw up.
Sounds like this Benjamin Hass’ daddy should have kicked his goatsmellin’ ass once or twice before he sent him off to “college”. The snot-nosed, little commie bastard.
You’d think students would have something more constructive to do with their time like studying to become self-sufficient or even do something that contributes to the well-being of others instead of engaging in such a futile, wrongheaded, infantile exercise.
Some folks are contacting the State Fire Marshall to try to stop it. Illegal to burn within the city limits.

Better yet. Wear T-shirts with the words:
Go to Hell Allah!
...Jesus
I’ll bet the cartilage in that nose of his would crunch REAL good!
I just saw his picture. I think I would break his wrist with just a handshake, and I am a 58 y.o. woman. I doubt you would even break a sweat.
Downright inflammatory.
LOSER!!!!
Sadly not one LSU student will be an American and exercise their right to defend the flag and kick this creeps ass..
If I was on a jury, there is no way I could ever convict someone incited by the act of burning a U.S. flag. It never would happen.
Ewwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!! I can almost see the flies.
*sniff, sniff*
The law was: Illegal to punch a flag burner BUT the fine is limited to $20.
I am a tightwad, so hopefully that is not $20 per punch. Would still be good for a few, just would have to make them count.

Hehehe! I hope someone is trailing his azz!
You go girl!
They caught that dude. He was arrested for theft and felony vandalism (spray painted some soldier memorial and caused $8000 in damage.
The new guy is doing this “in solidarity” with the criminal. LSU is allowing it for fear of being sued. Even though it’s actually illegal (fire code).
And we’re supposed to accept the most sacred symbol of our united nation. Yet, if someone burns the Qu’ran, the book which teaches its followers to murder whomever disagrees with them, riots break out. Now, if we were to riot at the commencement of the burning of our flag, we would be arrested. Interesting.
Freedom of speech if you hate America. That's the Law of the Left.
Thanks for the info, Tiger. It’s disgusting what they are doing.
