We're thinking the odds that Trump never runs for the GOP nomination are fading.
A new poll of Republican primary voters from PPP found that his support plunged from 26% last time to just 8% this time.
That puts him tied with Ron Paul.
Perhaps "winning" the birth certificate fight has undermined his only point of relevance in this race, although his negatives have always been sky high, with a huge block of voters always saying they'd never support him.
Trump is one point ahead of Michelle Bachmann.

Current PPP Poll (see link in Post #1 above) shows Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney are at the top of the GOP race with 19% and 18% respectively. Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin are further back at 13% and 12%, followed by Trump and Paul at 8%, Michele Bachmann at 7%, and Tim Pawlenty at 5%.
With Trump out Romney leads Huckabee 21-20 with Gingrich at 15% and Palin at 14%. With Trump and Huckabee out Romney is tops at 24% to 20% for Gingrich, 17% for Palin, and 12% for Paul. With Trump and Palin out Huckabee has the advantage with 24% to Romney’s 22%, and Gingrich’s 20%. And with none of Trump, Huckabee, and Palin running Romney gets 28% to 26% for Gingrich, 12% for Paul, and 11% for Bachmann.
To put that in a simpler form if Huckabee runs it’s between him and Romney right now, and if Huckabee doesn’t run it’s between Romney and Gingrich right now. And there’s plenty of time for other folks to work their way into that mix.
Well.
Turns out prayers do get answered.
As always, be careful to take an early poll seriously. They really don’t mean anything.
Trump was a feint, and nothing more than that.
the huck is NOT running.
How can our two top contenders be Romney and Huckabee? I know it’s early, so surely this will change...
“We’re thinking the odds that Trump never runs for the GOP nomination are fading. “
Where did this guy learn to write? The sentence says the opposite of what he wants to say.
Of course, once Trump stopped calling out BHO he dropped in the polls.
A new poll of Republican primary voters from PPP found that his support plunged from 26% last time to just 8% this time.
There, fixed it.
So true.
If he does...he loses BIG.
Remember; Huck=4 Dead police officers.
Asking for the Birth Certificate was supposed to be a sure path to victory, and any GOP’er who didn't was a traitor and blind or a co-conspirator!
No way that asking “Where is the Birth Certificate?” was going to blow up in anyone’s face? No way!
Now Donald Trump has 0bama right where he wants him! Victory is assured! The Donald and Orly Taitz wouldn't steer us wrong, would they?
IMHO One reason he is failing is he accepted that photoshopped phony BC as being authentic.
NEVER trust PPP, it’s a sham dem operation. They are the same group that had the “gop thinks interracial marriages should be illegal” crap a few months ago.
Podcast The Peter Boyles Show - May 10, 2011 7am
WND.com publisher Joe Farah came on the show to talk about the latest birther issues.
Several stories to come out later this week pointing to the fact that BHO Sr. is NOT The Pretenders biological father.
Farah said the information that Corsi was investigating last week in Hawaii is incredible.
That's so depressing it almost makes me just want to drop out altogether. Ignore the news and let the country spin out of control w/o my help. Last time out we were stuck with McCain and now Romney???? Good God almighty but I couldn't take that...I really couldn't!
“How can our two top contenders be Romney and Huckabee? I know its early, so surely this will change...”
Because not enough people have seen Herman Cain yet :)
