Weiner never once proposed giving indemnity to people in Northern Virginia whose homes were flown over (at low altitude) by the terrorists.

He's a phony.

The pilots association was offering a $2 million reward on top of the $25 Million the govt was offering. The US Military would not be entitled by law to receive the $25 million, but wouldn’t they be elgible for the $2 Million?

First we do not have any money, but money to the WWF is a good ideal.

I am extremely cynical of everything this administration does.

My quess is, that Obozo; if he would have his way; would see to it that the money goes to the building of the ground zero mosque. You know for the advancement of peace and all.

Am I a total cynic?

They didn’t get enough money from the contributions and government fund? Give the money to the people who earned it, the spooks, the SEALS. If they can’t have it, due to regs, statutes, whatever; split it between Wounded Warrior, Fischer House, and a legal defense fund for the CIA guys those asshats Obama and Holder are still after.

Hell, I ‘m sure the SEALS could use a new recreation center, or something....

Since Obama single-handedly killed bin Laden, the money should go to his re-election campaign. (Hopefully no sarc tag needed.)

Maybe it should be treated like the lottery. If no one has the winning ticket it just gets rolled over to next week - in this case by bumping up the reward on further leaders of al Qaeda.

Or perhaps we should just reimburse the Pakistani government for their expenses in providing bin Laden's with room, board and protection.< /s>

Remember last fall when Wiener, Schumer et al shamelessly used those who had worked on the "pile" (the rubble of the World Trade Center) to push through a gazillion $$$ boondoggle bill?

The bill was named the James Zadroga Act -- allegedly to honor the first supposed victim of the polluted air at the WTC site (although Mr. Zadroga did not actually die from his exposure at the WTC site, according to the medical examiner -- but no matter!)

So already in the NY area we're seeing lawyer ads seeking "victims" who will benefit from ... you guessed it ... the "Zadroga Act."

These Zadroga commercials resemble those ubiquitous mesothelioma ads. And just like with mesothelioma victims, the ambulance-chasing lawyers will take thousands of WTC "victims"' (whether real or frauds), lump them together into a class-action suit -- and reap most of the taxpayer funded spoils as legal fees for themselves.

The Rewards for Justice Program was set up in 1984 to encourage people to help our government catch terrorists. The program "provides rewards for information that will enable appropriate government authorities to locate and apprehend such individuals". In the case of Bin Laden, no-one is entitled to any reward money.

I wonder how much compensation other American victims families have recieved? 9/11 wasn’t the only attack against Americans or the first. I agree that the 9/11 victims have been taken care of enough,

Any politician that calls for wealth transfer from people who have earned it to those who haven’t, you can bet s/he is a Dem.

Weiner is a wiener. A Democrat wiener.
