The US has released five video clips of Osama bin Laden that it says was taken from the Pakistani compound where the leader of al-Qaeda was reportedly killed last week.
The videos mainly show bin Laden rehearsing taped remarks, but there is also video showing him watching news coverage of himself on TV.
Al Jazeera's Rosiland Jordan, reporting from the Pentagon in Washington DC, said that the video clips were shown to journalists, but the sound was removed from them.
"We did see a video of Osama bin Laden watching video of himself on what appears to be Al Jazeera," she said.
Wayne Madsen, an investigative journalist speaking to Al Jazeera from Washington DC, said that it was still difficult to confirm that all these videos do show bin Laden, as some are not clear.
"There are going to be many more questions raised after the release of these videos, because there have been videos and images in the past that were thought to be of bin Laden, but some of those turned out to be fake."
Compound videos
Earlier on Saturday, Al Jazeera obtained new footage of the compound where Osama bin Laden was killed, that showed the interiors of the house where the al-Qaeda leader is thought to have been hiding for up to six years.
Filmed during daylight hours, there is no doubt that this is the house where bin Laden was shot and killed by US forces, Al Jazeera's Imtiaz Tyab said, reporting from the compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan.
"These pictures ... give a sense of just how Osama bin Laden - the world's most wanted fugitive - lived relatively undetected right here in Abbottabad," our correspondent said.
It was not immediately clear how long after the raid that the footage was taken.

No, I was using that photo for comparison on the ring. Lots of photos with him wearing that ring on a certain photo.
Do you have actual links to the videos? (such as youtube, or other reputable links). I don’t like clicking on those things. That would be better, thanks.
I have tracked it down. January 21, 2010
20 minutes would be a lifetime in a SpecOps takedown operation. In Blackhawk down they were in the Hotel for about 20 minutes but it was full of people and confusiong has all get out.
Excellent, thx.
They cleared that up. David Hunt said the 30 seconds was from the time they entered the building which housed Bin Laden until they killed him. Both he and Jennifer Griffin said that was about 20 minutes after the raid began, when they first entered the compound.
Look at the first pic in this link. It’s a pic of OBL watching the tv showing a split screen of OBL & BHO. Is this not getting ridiculous?

they really are milking this and with the help of the biased media.
Right he is dead, we got justice but nothing else has changed so can we get back to focusing instead of this crap please
and MEDIA DO YOU JOB FOR JUST ONCE
Obviously the pics with Obama are to show it is since his Presidency with clues that people will comb over to get the year. Like I did
What is astounding to me is that all of this..I mean ALL of this is so ridiculous..that I have wonder if it isn’t ridiculous on purpose.
Because if our CIA and DOD are really this bad...God help us all.
Someone needs to photoshop it with a video controller in his hands, along with the one with Obama in the command center where he has his controller.
Then have them both looking at the same screen of Modern Warfare as they play each other online.
I agree. I initially swallowed the govt. story hook, line and sinker. Now with all of this back covering and the cover story for the death photo I am starting to wonder. I’m starting to think they are trying to hide something.
Wayne Madsen: Serious Wacko & BS Artist.
There are a bunch of Television stations banned in Pakistan.
This may not be the current list.
I can’t see well enough to figure out if Osama is viewing any of these channels.

I don’t know. If they’re still using the “40 minute on the ground” scenario, that’s halfway into it. That leaves 20 minutes to get the prisoners rounded up, toss the whole place, load everything up and blow up half a helicopter.
I’m more inclined to believe they were in his room closer to the 10 min mark from set down.
