Cain is the first politician I have heard since Reagan say that tax cuts pay for themselves.

That's what we need in the WH

Awesome reply to that Question! , I agree totally. How has it been electing full time politicians that don't’ know the first thing about real life and creating real jobs. NOT JOBS AT THE GOVERNMENT! those jobs take money out of the system instead of creating wealth.

Cain and Allen West, UNSTOPPABLE COMBINATION! I am on board with that!

The response to Cain was immediate. I’d read about him on FR, but my wife had never heard of him before. Same for my mother.

They both came away incredibly impressed. I was impressed also. This guy Cain is a rock star. I wonder how he will hold up when the campaign season ramps up and begins to get heated.

I heard Herman Cain speak at a local tea party last weekend. I really liked his position on cutting taxes and getting business moving again. I live in Santorum’s old stomping grounds and I think he is a creep, has some good positions on things but he is not trustworthy.

I watched parts of the debate. Luntz’s focus group thought that Herman Cain definitely won the debate, and Santorum came in second. Mitt Romney definitely hurt himself by not being there.

Like I said, I didn’t see all of the debate. But I’m sorry; Santorum always comes off as an obnoxious know-it-all snob. He has no personality except for arrogance. Assertiveness is fine — good quality for a president. Arrogance is not. We know that from Obama.

That rules him OUT as far as I’m concerned.

How 'bout Bachmann's little stint with Treasury?

“He reminded me a lot of Fred Thompson, even in his delivery.”

“Is that praising with faint damn; or damning with faint praise?”

What I mean, is when I first heard Fred Thompson’s daily Radio commentaries, even before I knew his political leanings, I liked the guy. He connected. Cain connects.

I like Herman Cain better than Ron Paul...

WOW! Is there anybody WORSE than cut and run? I do not think even obama hates America as much as the King of Ear Marks.

When obama won, I was fairly certain things would be so bad with him that we would not have another black president for a very, very long time...but that was before Herman Cain put his hat into the ring.

If the GOP is smart enough to nominate him, I will definitely look forward to and enjoy voting for Herman Cain. The debates with him and obama would be very educational and the kind of wake up call we need after obama's mass electoral somnambulism.

I think Fred Thompson could - as an actor- play one HELL of a President -and I think he could have been - as a person one HELL of a President. He is who I think of when I hear the word “gravitas”.

If I was a director filling the role of a dynamic campaign candidate - I would look elsewhere.

He was not a dynamic speaker known for his killer ‘delivery’.

Now a “connection” - that is better! Thanks for the clarification. I didn't watch. I read - I don't watch - so I miss “delivery”.

I wouldn’t go as far as you did and call Santorum a creep, but he’s not impressing me. I’ve read inspiring political commentaries of his and he is able to put good conservative thought into words, and I longed hoped he would seek seriously the office of the Presidency. But there is another Santorum when there is a microphone in front of him that is somewhere between a complete bore, and a Romney Light. Last night we saw the complete bore.

What makes you think Herman Cain is an “affirmative action black?” Please cite your source for proof of this statement.

Anyone who stumps for arlen spector reigns as creep in my book. Santorum knows how to speak well and has some genuine conservative principals but he is a career politician and has no chance of beating zero.

He's from your neck of the woods, so you know him best. Career politician probably describes him well, as well as every one on that stage last night except for Cain
