CBS News is reporting that documents obtained by Congressional investigators looking into the Project Gunrunner scandal include a wiretap authorization from Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer dated in March 2010.

Also included in documents released by investigators is a January 8, 2010 “briefing paper” on Project Gunrunner from the Phoenix, AZ field division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. The documents were released earlier today as the Senate Judiciary Committee convened for an oversight hearing on the Department of Justice.
One document indicates a Holder Asst. Attorney General, Lanny Breuer, authorized a wiretap in the controversial gun trafficking case headquartered in Phoenix. In that case, called "Fast and Furious," multiple sources say ATF allowed thousands of guns to hit the streets, destined for Mexican drug cartels.—CBS News
As reported by this column today, Attorney General Eric Holder professed considerable lack of knowledge about the Gunrunner operation, and its links to the slaying of Customs and Border Protection Agent Brian Terry last December. That prompted the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms to call for Holder’s resignation.

Hoping you forgot the sarcasm tag here, but in case you’re serious - it’s about undermining the Second Amendment and giving Obozo and his shoeshine boy Holder the excuse they need to enact more gun laws.
They started the talking points about “American guns in Mexico” a while back, which tells me they’ve been conspiring for quite a while over this. And then we get the US Border Agent shot and murdered with one of the guns the ATF and others involved let go through. That’s their “Bloody Shirt moment” - except they got CAUGHT, and their little conspiracy is unravelling now.
What we need to know is WHO gave the orders, WHEN they gave the orders, and who else was involved. And then they need to be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. For Murder as well as treason.
Either the law applies to ALL of us, or all bets are off.
Holder, Obama, 90% of the Democrat party included.

This is an EASY question to answer. The trail will go directly to Obama's office.
The community organizer saw a chance to let US Guns flow to Mexico which would hopefully generate a crises. The crises would allow Obama to issue Executive Orders to shut down Gun Markets in the United States then with the outrage he'd hopefully get to eventually go after the gun owners in the United States.
Obama thinks he's smarter than you and that unless the media turns on him, he's imune to justice.
This story is MUCH bigger than Watergate. Like that story, Holder is lying in testimony to protect Obama. This can easily lead to Impeachment and Conviction because Americans finding out the truth will crucify anyone protecting someone who participated in a plan like this (that includes Democrat Senators who want to play games).
Obama is toast if ISSA continues on the path he is on. Holder is just a pawn. Obama's only hope is if people like Issa don't understand their history lessons. The little jerk off got a bit too cocky and now it's time to fry him.

Look for either Holder, his asst. or both to resign in the next 30 days. Issa and Grassley have the e mails from the gun dealers trying to opt out of the “sting” because the gun dealers were hearing about all the killings, and felt guilty about it. This one is hot!

Chronology is a good word. All one need do is listen to these jerk offs over the course of a couple months. They’ll ALWAYS tell you where the next “crisis” is coming from.
As one of the posters above put it, they think they’re smarter than the rest of us.
We have about 100 years of history of their tactics to learn from, if one is simply willing to do a little research.
They tell you WHO they fear by the amount of hate and vitriol they spew, the smear jobs they attempt.
They tell you WHAT they fear by their attempts at demonization and their incessant carping and screeching.
They tell you the NEXT crisis on the horizon - all one need do is just listen to the media talking points; about three months or so later, wow, suddenly there’s a “crisis”.
As another poster so eloquently put it - NOTHING is coincidence with these jackwagons. They are the masters of conspiratorial subversion, and have been perfecting their subversion for over 100 years.
And we just...let them...all the time.

It was done to give evidence to Mexico that would allow them to sue American gun manufacturers. Which they did last week if I recall.

Issa and Grassely should be twisting the arm of EVERY GOP Congressman and Senator to get on board with this.
He SHOULD be finished. It’s deadly SERIOUS. More serious than Watergate; this is a President (and I use the term loosely in regards to this clown) deliberately sending his rogue agents and flunkies forth to subvert and undermine the laws of our country.
Watergate, at least to my mind and from my recollection of it, was Nixon attempting to use conversations and private comms to undermine the political party (Dems, of course - they’ve never passed up an opportunity to betray their country)that was undermining the country’s war effort against their communist buddies. And he got caught.
This is 100% criminal - sending weapons purely to create MORE crime in a foreign country, in order create controls to restrict legal ownership of firearms in this country. The only intended “winner” in this is the regime.
Seems to me that CBS is covering their butts now. They were a purveyor of “talking points” before the poop hit the fan.
