Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Monday accused the U.S. of violating his countrys sovereignty by sending in special forces to kill Osama bin Laden.
American troops coming across the border and taking action in one of our towns, that is Abbottabad, is not acceptable to the people of Pakistan. It is a violation of our sovereignty, Mr. Musharraf told CNN-IBN, an Indian news channel.
He added that it would have been far better if Pakistani Special Services Group had operated and conducted the mission. To that extent, the modality of handling it and executing the operation is not correct.
Bin Laden was killed Sunday in a firefight with Navy SEALs in a million-dollar, fortified compound located in an affluent neighborhood in Abbottabad, about a two-hour drive from Pakistans capital, Islamabad.

This is one case where the ends justified the means.
I hope it also signals that the military will be allowed to do their job!
No credit to our Coward in Chief!
Pakistan could have done it anytime. It’s clear they were harboring Osami bin Leveled.
,,
Mushie, you were harboring a wanted terrorist.
Do you really want to protest how he was taken down? Do you want questions asked about how much the paki government knew about his whereabouts and how long they were aware of his hiding place?
You’re better off just shutting your hummus hole and keeping your head down. At least that’s what a smart man would do.
>> This is really about assassination...not allowed....and thats OUR rule.
Interesting how this operation survived the demands for trial the Left would have used to taunt Bush. And is that which is described as an ‘assassination’ less controversial than waterboarding?
UBL became a benign tumor, and it’s good the surgeons removed him. But the current regime still has the Country on the road to a self-induced heart attack.
Mushy... so sue us, and fu while you’re at it
No matter how you cut it, it was an assassination.
They only had about 6 years to do this. What he actually means is that it would have been far better if the ISI had conducted the mission of tipping OBL off so he could skedaddle.
Yp, in 10 seconds he could have gone into their military academy’s barracks. Good luck then
At least Zero had sense enough (or was ignorant enough) not the call in the lawyers!
Now, I've said one (1) kind thing about the Obamanation since he appeared on the scene running for prexy.
That's enough.
What? No credit to the billions Bush gave Pakistan? Come on, give credit where credit is due.
How do you violate a sewer? these people can not be trusted and all Aid should stop now!
I am aware of that. D*mn Bush for this, too.
We’re giving billions of Amerian taxpayer money to sh*thole countries who hate us, while Americans lose their jobs, homes and pay for $5 gas!
“Bin Laden mission violated Pakistan”
And since he was in plain site to certain Pakistani officials in its military and intelligence services, Pakistan violated our trust, harbored an international criminal, helped prevent a terrorist from being brought to justice, and it still thinks we were supposed to drop all those concerns, in deference to its sovereignty? No way.
Now, maybe Pakistan is concerned that we have only taken the first step, at getting ALL the al Queda who think they are safe in Pakistani; maybe some al Queda persons are persons Pakistan knows are safe, at present in Pakistan.
Maybe the intel that lead to Osama has provided a trail to others. Maybe that is what Pakistan is afraid of.
“How do you violate a sewer? these people can not be trusted and all Aid should stop now!”
If there is anyone left in the Republican with an ounce of sense and dignity, this better damn well be real high on the list of things to ‘cut’ from any budget they submit into the far future.
