Musharraf: Bin Laden mission violated Pakistan
The Washington Times ^ | 5/2/2011 | Ashish Kumar Sen

Former Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf on Monday accused the U.S. of violating his country’s sovereignty by sending in special forces to kill Osama bin Laden.

“American troops coming across the border and taking action in one of our towns, that is Abbottabad, is not acceptable to the people of Pakistan. It is a violation of our sovereignty,” Mr. Musharraf told CNN-IBN, an Indian news channel.

He added that it would have been “far better if Pakistani Special Services Group had operated and conducted the mission. To that extent, the modality of handling it and executing the operation is not correct.”

Bin Laden was killed Sunday in a firefight with Navy SEALs in a million-dollar, fortified compound located in an affluent neighborhood in Abbottabad, about a two-hour drive from Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad.

. Here is some of the American taxpayer money that Obama has given to that sh*thole Pakistan and other sh*tholes:

Obama gives billions of U.S. taxpayer dollars to countries and entities that support Sharia law and/or harbor, hide and support those who want to destroy the U.S. and our allies.

http://creepingsharia.wordpress.com/2009/05/13/obamas-supplemental-bill-passes-gives-billions-to-enemies/

• $3.6 billion, matching the request, to expand and improve capabilities of the Afghan security forces

$400 million, as requested, to build the counterinsurgency capabilities of the Pakistani security forces•

Afghanistan: $1.52 billion, $86 million above the request • West Bank and Gaza: $665 million in bilateral economic, humanitarian, and security assistance for the West Bank and Gaza

• Jordan: $250 million, $250 million above the request, including $100 million for economic and $150 million for security assistance

• Egypt: $360 million, $310 million above the request, including $50 million for economic assistance, $50 million for border security, and $260 million for security assistance

Pakistan: $1.9 billion, $591 million above the request

• Iraq: $968 million, $336 million above the request

• Oversight: $20 million, $13 million above the request, to expand oversight capacity of the State Department, USAID, and the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan to review programs in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq

• Lebanon: $74 million

• International Food Assistance: $500 million, $200 million above the request, for PL 480 international food assistance to alleviate suffering during the global economic crisis

• Refugee Assistance: $343 million, $50 million above the request, …including humanitarian assistance for Gaza. Funding for the UN Relief and Works Agency programs in the West Bank and Gaza is limited to $119 million (Note: Gaza = Hamas)

• Disaster Assistance: $200 million to avert famines and provide life-saving assistance during natural disasters and for internally displaced people around the world, including Somalia, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, the Middle East and South Asia

• Peacekeeping: $837 million for United Nations peacekeeping operations, including an expanded mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and a new mission in Chad and the Central African Republic

• Department of Justice: $17 million, matching the request, for counter-terrorism activities and to provide training and assistance for the Iraqi criminal justice system The mainstream media remains silent on this but the International News has now picked up the story http://www.thenews.com.pk/top_story_detail.asp?Id=22164 — and then there is Obama’s $108 billion IMF bailout scheme http://michellemalkin.com/2009/05/13/obamas-100-billion-imf-bailout-scheme/ in addition to the Supplemental.

According to the Associated Press, the Obama administration will give away nearly $6 million of American tax dollars to restore 63 historic and cultural sites, including Islamic mosques and minarets, in 55 nations. See the State Department document here.

BFD!

This is one case where the ends justified the means.

I hope it also signals that the military will be allowed to do their job!

No credit to our Coward in Chief!

Pakistan could have done it anytime. It’s clear they were harboring Osami bin Leveled.

I don't agree that it was an assassination. They tried to arrest him, He resisted arrest and fired a weapon (from behind his wife, apparently). Also, we involved Paki’s, we just didn't tell them key details, because they had cheated us several times on getting OBL. Sounds to me like they thought this one through and made sure it was a legal action. However, I do suspect the timing was highly political.

Mushie, you were harboring a wanted terrorist.

Do you really want to protest how he was taken down? Do you want questions asked about how much the paki government knew about his whereabouts and how long they were aware of his hiding place?

You’re better off just shutting your hummus hole and keeping your head down. At least that’s what a smart man would do.

>> This is really about assassination...not allowed....and that’s OUR rule.

Interesting how this operation survived the demands for trial the Left would have used to taunt Bush. And is that which is described as an ‘assassination’ less controversial than waterboarding?

UBL became a benign tumor, and it’s good the surgeons removed him. But the current regime still has the Country on the road to a self-induced heart attack.

far better if Pakistani Special Services Group had operated and conducted the mission

They only had about 6 years to do this. What he actually means is that it would have been far better if the ISI had conducted the mission of tipping OBL off so he could skedaddle.

“Bin Laden mission violated Pakistan”

And since he was in plain site to certain Pakistani officials in its military and intelligence services, Pakistan violated our trust, harbored an international criminal, helped prevent a terrorist from being brought to justice, and it still thinks we were supposed to drop all those concerns, in deference to its sovereignty? No way.

Now, maybe Pakistan is concerned that we have only taken the first step, at getting ALL the al Queda who think they are safe in Pakistani; maybe some al Queda persons are persons Pakistan knows are safe, at present in Pakistan.

Maybe the intel that lead to Osama has provided a trail to others. Maybe that is what Pakistan is afraid of.

“How do you violate a sewer? these people can not be trusted and all Aid should stop now!”

If there is anyone left in the Republican with an ounce of sense and dignity, this better damn well be real high on the list of things to ‘cut’ from any budget they submit into the far future.
