Americans tonight are united in celebration and gratitude. God bless all the brave men and women in our military and our intelligence services who contributed to carrying out the successful mission to bring Bin Laden to justice and who laid the groundwork over the years to make this victory possible. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of these brave Americans who relentlessly hunted down our enemy.

This is a victory for the American people, for the victims who were heartlessly murdered on September 11 and in Al Qaeda’s other numerous attacks, and for all the peace-loving people of the world.

bvw - inre the celebrations. THAT is what has been bothering me. They were celebrating in front of the White Hut before zero's speech. And if you look at the demographics of those celebrating, they are all young ppl who were maybe 8 years old when 9/11 happened.

If binladen was actually killed then those involved should be congratulated. With all the questionable claims, many with no way to back up (like the unusual burial at sea) the evidence, it could have too easy to have someone else put inplace for the Seals to have before them.

If we knew he was there and just found out then why the hell did we not watch from afar and then let him or others take us to the number two.?

Also he had more info on all this than anyone so seeing as we did not use drones to kill him and risk lives on a shoot to kill then why not injure him and get the info we need on everything?

I think Freeper Sten nailed it last night. We've known about Osama's whereabouts for some time now and have been gathering intel into how he was recruiting, next targets, etc. and using that intel to destroy his entire network.

Because people think Obama is a Marxist Muslim America-hating illegal alien bent on destroying America from within [and rightly so], he decides to take out an intelligence asset just to try and whitewash the fact that he is on their side. Give a speech that was prepared weeks in advanced for the teleprompter to try and show that he truly is an American. He loves this country, really, no joke.... even though he and Michelle were celebrating during 9/11.
