Obama and Seth Meyers headline
Politics and Hollywood collide again at tonight's annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. The event has evolved into a star-studded affair as celebrities descend upon Washington, joining journalists and President Obama.
This year's comedian headliner, Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers, is charged with the task of poking fun at the President and Washington politics.
Each year, the President uses the occasion to show a more humorous side as well, making fun of himself and the people who cover him.
The purpose of the annual dinner is to raise money for WHCA scholarships and honor the professional recipients of the WHCA's journalism awards," according to the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) website.
C‑SPAN begins tonights live coverage with the red carpet arrivals at 6:45pm EST. See complete coverage at C‑SPAN's White House Correspondents' Dinner webpage.

Should I have said Alinsky? After all, they're all the same...
I pray for America every day, same as you.
He/she also doesn’t like Bush... up thread....
Looking thru your posts... You obviously don’t care for Bush, Ryan, Palin, Trump.... but really felt for some environmentalist that passed away. Are you on the right site? Perhaps you would be more comfortable on DU or some other lib venue.
Why would you think Trump would issue “a statement” about the storm tragedy in the South - he’s not a politician or officially a candidate yet. That you could even use the word “win” in the same sentence as the tornado tragedy says all one needs to know about you, troll.
No offense, I wasn’t referring to you, but to the reporters..sorry about that.
You are right, probably Romney get nomination.
On Fox this morning, they were saying how this was the funniest speech by president in years and showed clips. i guess i am really dumb as i thought it was pathetic.
You are right, Trump looks mad and Obummer’s jokes were not funny
Sometimes when a person is slammed like that it makes them much more determined and focused. I don’t really know about Trump as a candidate or if nominated, but I like him now a lot
Even if Trump was just shilling for someone maybe he'll change his mind and kick zer0's @ss just to get even.
It may not be good for the Republic but it sounds like something he'd do.
Did anyone laugh or was it just that pretend laughter
ha you nailed it perfectly. she does look like a streetwalker
ha ha funny perfect
I agree, it really will help Trump
It most likely will be Romney
What did Romney say and donate how about Sarah, she has got millions now from all of these appearances and public appearances.
I’m not sure why you picked this thread to bash President Bush-—he certainly had nothing to do the the Correspondence Dinner.
Personally, I like President Bush—not everything he did, by any means, but I’d take him back any time, especially in light of what we have today.
I think you are on the wrong thread.

He even went after Matt Damon. Not that I like Damon but the way he did it was crass and rude.
