Obama and Seth Meyers headline
Politics and Hollywood collide again at tonight's annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner. The event has evolved into a star-studded affair as celebrities descend upon Washington, joining journalists and President Obama.
This year's comedian headliner, Saturday Night Live's Seth Meyers, is charged with the task of poking fun at the President and Washington politics.
Each year, the President uses the occasion to show a more humorous side as well, making fun of himself and the people who cover him.
The purpose of the annual dinner is to raise money for WHCA scholarships and honor the professional recipients of the WHCA's journalism awards," according to the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) website.
C‑SPAN begins tonights live coverage with the red carpet arrivals at 6:45pm EST. See complete coverage at C‑SPAN's White House Correspondents' Dinner webpage.

TheWon and wife just announced - standing for National Anthem, colors being brought in and playing military song.
Man, Michelle looks mad, or angry, or like a tramp, or looks like she was rode hard.
She looks terrible.
Some of us old time Freepers have some really fond memories of “freeping” the Correspondence Dinner.
I know .. ;) God lova ya.
What a load of crap! Crap! CRAP! Just goes to show you that these clowns in WDC absolutely DO NOT take seriously the problems we are facing as a nation...that they would spend time in slapping each other on the backs, high-fiving, etc. This just stinks IMHO...God please help us as a country...please help us to get rid of these free-loading, bloviating, good-for-nothing pols who seem to have only their best interests at heart vs. that of the country. Amen.
What the hell is she wearing and what is with her hair? This woman is just disgusting - no class at all - and I’m sick of seeing her man arms. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
Let’s see. No invite to the wedding. Having to tour tornado aftermath in Alabama and then the shuttle launch was scrapped yesterday. She be mad alright.
Must say .. Michelle’s hair looks very cute.

Who the hell cares?
David Axelrod .. talking now .. about the struggles he and his wife have had with their epilectic daughter. Horrible, frequent seizures. Describing how his wife started a foundation with another mother for fundraising and awareness.
His daughter is 30 now .. and texted him this am.
Ooh .. and I think her hair looks cute .. LOL ..
Luckily, like all of us, you have the choice to be or not be here. Simple, isn’t it.
The prez being cute, clever by half and rebooting his celebrity status is just something I have to take a pass on, now that with him I have lost my sense of humor entirely.
Her leg waxing is ugly enough - but is she waxing her arms and shoulders too? Maybe it's to keep people from getting too close?
And speaking of texting. The msm reported that Gabby Giffords texted with regard to the shuttle. I had my doubts........it turns out it was a staffer who texted in Gabby’s name.
The DC Chapter once again FReeped the WHCD. Hope one of them took pictures and will right an AAR.
