If were going to assassinate dictators, why not the north korean dictator? He is currently the worst in the world and his demise would benefit the people of NK. Or how about seria, how many protesters have been killed there in the last couple of weeks. This seems like a slippery slope.

According to Fox News the airstrike hit a residential area. Why the hell are we killing his kids and grandkids, but not him?

Saddam’s sons were evil SOB’s, and the world was a far better place once they were splattered in the sand. Anyone know anything about these guys?

Make those airstrikes a little farther south, and he can wipe out the REAL birth certificate in Kenya!

Unacceptable! Now the Colonel is going to be pissed off and could be a danger to the West if he somehow hangs on. Perhaps we’ll have to send in the Marines to clean the fracked up mess. Gee, I’m going to have to vote for Ron Paul now.

This is a mess, if you knew where he was annihilate the whole square mile around that location, with a cruise missile barrage. Surgically striking will not work here unless you really have Special Forces on the ground.

Another damn war by committee and we all know how well those work.

As for civilians big deal, once they stop killing each other, they will come after us again.

Khaddafi,I don’t use his title because I don’t quit understand it, isn’t that big of a threat to anyone but his own people.....these days. That doesn’t mean he is either useful, friendly or necessary for the war on terror.

Whoever replaces him will be too busy rebuilding Libya to export terror or support anyone.Besides the way the war on terror is going, most Muslim countries will either break for actual freedom or the despots we tolerate will eventually back the terrorists. It would be much easier for tyrants like Gaddafi to back Islamics insurgents,as it looks like they are here to stay, then to crack down on them.

Tyrants like him go with whoever looks like he is going to keep them in power, the West couldn’t protect him if they wanted to.

It is better for a popular revolt to oust him, which would be a major blow to the left who have been buddies with him since Mitterand(ex-President of France),then for him to decide one day that terrorism is one industry he needs to go back into supporting.

It is unfair to hit him as he has disarmed some during the Bush years but he should have updated the way he dealt with protests along with disposing of his arsenal. That is how it works.

If his son was 29, what age does that make the three grandchildren? Around 10 at the oldest?

Glad the Nobel Peace Prize winner is enhancing our reputation internationally.

We have no business being in this conflict - none.

This will come back to haunt us. Big time.

Were these folks flying aircraft? Were they attacking other civilians? Were they in a battle zone?

Every leader is surrounded by 300-1000 core supporters. In dictatorships, these are the key people who hold high level positions, such as head of security, senior general of the army, etc. Their positions of power and wealth depend on their collective support leader. There is an outer circle, men whose wealth depends on the leader.

Any “leader” can be toppled when their core support ends. When their circle sees more advantage for themselves by abandoning the leader. This maxim was shown in Nixon; in Haiti; in Egypt; in Tunisia.

Qaddifi will be gone in two hours if every villa along the Mediterranean coast of his supporters is attacked. Actually, it has more impact if every third villa gets a missile (less expensive, and greater worry).

The key concept is that his inner and outer circles have to see that their best choice is with a different leader. A vacuum is never a viable alternative. But Quaddaffi wil leave only when his supporters see their best options somewhere else.

We don't know the gender of the grandkids, but if there's several male youngsters killed including the son, the Arab world will not take this killing lightly, including those still on our side, or the uncommitted. Sons have an almost mystical presence in the Islam world.

I have a feeling this will outrage the Saudis who hold the key to our oil.

Obama bowed low to his Islam master/campaign treasurer, the Saudi king.....but he might as well have not bothered....his policies in the Middle East have now screwed everything up beyond repair.
