Expert: No Doubt Obama's Birth Certificate Is Legit

It didn’t take long for some of President Obama’s doubters to claim the long-awaited birth certificate posted online by the White House on Wednesday had been altered or might be a fake.

But a leading software expert says there’s no doubt about its authenticity, and he dismisses claims of fraud as flat-out wrong.

The doubters have latched onto the idea that Adobe Illustrator — the premier program for computer graphic artists — “reveals” evidence of document manipulation in the Obama birth certificate. They note Illustrator reveals nine separate layers of the document, and claim it’s “proof” the file has been altered.

But that’s not so, says Jean-Claude Tremblay, a leading software trainer and Adobe-certified expert, who has years of experience working with and teaching Adobe Illustrator.

“You should not be so suspicious about this,” Tremblay told FoxNews.com, dismissing the allegations.

He said the layers cited by doubters are evidence of the use of common, off-the-shelf scanning software — not evidence of a forgery. “I have seen a lot of illustrator documents that come from photos and contain those kind of clippings—and it looks exactly like this,” he said.

Tremblay explained that the scanner optical character recognition (OCR) software attempts to translate characters or words in a photograph into text. He said the layers cited by the doubters shows that software at work – and nothing more.

I have a long form copy of my BC from Hawaii circa 1945. It's a Standard Certificate of Live Birth, detailed information and the raised, embossed seal of the Territory of Hawaii dated 1947. The embossed seal should show up even in a photocopy of the document.

I only watched “official proof 2” but am very convinced the bastardo is scamming us again. You can not...at least not with anything that would be anywhere near normal.

Ordinary scanner software and ordinary Adobe can not do this. It had to go into a manipulator tool such as Illustrator or Photoshop to do this.

I do a lot of scanning of documents and sometimes photos and convert in and out of adobe all the time. You get one image...and if you tell it OCR it creates the OCR table. But you never get a chopped up image like this POS.

I tried all the techniques the obots have posted. I scanned into a TIF file then converted to pdf (that seems to the most common story), I tried this, and that, I pulled old documents, new documents. Nothing created ‘layers’ using the native scanner software and Adobe Standard Version 9.

This is just pure spin. And look my other posts. The imagery evidence is mounting.

I find it hard to believe that in 1961 a woman could give birth in HI and a couple of weeks later be in Washington state with the baby.

And what is the alternative theory? That she gave birth in Kenya, and still somehow ended up in Washington State a few weeks later with the baby? How is that plausible, but not so if she gave birth in Hawaii?

You would be wrong about my age. I typed all my high school papers on a MANUAL (non-electric) typewriter and actually took typing class in high school.

What you call “centered” text in the Obama birth certificate could merely be a typist that knows how to use the space bar. I don’t really see that these texts are very centered anyway - they look pretty random.

I just don’t think you have a smoking gun here that shouts FRAUD.

I do think that it could be many of the forms that used nicely aligned typing were done by military personnel and that Obama’s was done by civilian? Or as I said before, it could be a novice or someone who just had their own “style” of filling out the form.

I also think all this stuff about layering is a dead end. I think we need to concentrate on the information in the document and not the style. I truly doubt that Obama’s people manufactured this in their offices. If there is any fraud, it has been done to alter the records that are currently held in Hawaiian “vaults”.

Then let one of our experts examine the original... because what this guy is saying is that this is a layered painting of what may or may not be a legitimate document. You cannot tell the authenticity of a signature in digital form... but the real deal can be verified... same with documents... at least that is my understanding.

It would be nice if there were some words describing the evaluation of the the White House generated COLB.

The red vertical lines suggest to me that the lines of text were generated by text that was pasted in the fields by a computer. If it were a typewriter, everything would be registered perfectly if you were to draw a vertical line through the different lines of text.

What else is found?
