According to CBN news, on Twitter. Can anyone confirm?
Amen!
I just found out about this. I am crestfallen. I admired no one on earth more than Mr. Wilkerson.
RIP in the arms of the Lord you served so well, sir.
Dave is a rich man tonight, with all those treasures he laid... and God has surely taken his hand and blessed his work. He offered real hope and lives were really changed...
.
FWIW
I've had a similar impression about David Wilkerson
as I and a number of others have had about Billy Graham--
That when they graduate from this life--
BETTER BUCKLE SEAT-BELTS BIG-TIME.
THE E-TICKET RIDE IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!
WITHOUT ANY HELMETS, CRASH BARS OR AIR-BAGS!
MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON ALL OF GOOD HEART.
MAY GOD COMFORT HIS LOVED ONES.
HE AIN'T GOT NO MORE TROUBLES!
HE DONE CROSSED 'THE JORDAN!'
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD.
BLESSED BE THE WORD OF THE LORD.
BLESSED BE THE WAYS OF THE LORD.
BLESSED BE THE LORD GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB.
BLESSED BE THE LORD JESUS, THE MESSIAH, THE KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS; CREATOR GOD!
BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD.
PRAISE GOD.
What a message to go out with!
Thank you for your first hand story.
You are right. He died a very rich man!
May your family feel showers of blessings raining down on them and on you.
I have felt in my spirit for 10-20 years that when Billy Graham left, hellish things would befall the earth shortly thereafter.
Within the last 10 years, I’ve read of others being told that by God.
May God have mercy on all of good heart toward Him.

Rev. David Wilkerson, founding pastor of Times Square Church in New York City and author of the well-known book The Cross and the Switchblade, was killed Wednesday in a car accident, according to a source close to CBN News. He was 79.
Wilkerson’s wife Gwen was also involved in the Texas highway crash and rushed to the hospital. Details of the crash are still developing. Stay with CBNNews.com for an update.
Wilkerson posted a blog dated April 27 — the day of his death. In the post, titled “When All Means Fail,” he encouraged those facing difficulty to “hold fast” and stand strong in faith.
“To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights, and in that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, “I am with you,’” Wilkerson wrote. “Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love. When all means fail-his love prevails. Hold fast to your faith. Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world.”

Word of the accident began to spread Wednesday night on social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Christians urged prayer for Mrs. Wilkerson who’s in critical condition.
Wilkerson’s cousin Rich confirmed the death on Twitter.
“It is confirmed my dear cousin David Wilkerson lost his life in a tragic car accident this afternoon..Prayers r needed at this time,” he tweeted.
Rev. Wilkerson spent the early part of his ministry reaching out to gang members and drug addicts in New York, as told in the best-selling book The Cross and the Switchblade.
In 1971, he started World Challenge, Inc. as an umbrella for his crusades, conferences, evangelism and other ministry. Times Square Church was founded under the group in 1987.
The church is now led by Pastor Carter Conlon and has more than 8,000 members.
Wilkerson also founded Teen Challenge, and Christian outreach program for troubled young people.
“Please remember the Wilkerson family in your prayers as our founder, Rev. David Wilkerson, went to be with the Lord this evening,” Teen Challenge told Twitter followers.
He is survived by his wife, four children and 11 grandchildren.

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, dead, and buried:
He descended into hell;
The third day he rose again from the dead;
He ascended into heaven,
And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
The holy Catholic Church;
The Communion of Saints;
The Forgiveness of sins;
The Resurrection of the body,
And the Life everlasting. Amen.
Amazingly, on Google Trends, which measures search activity on Google, David Wilkerson has just hit number one.
It’s amazing the idiocy people look for on the web when important things are going on. The congress can be passing important bills, we can be going to war, yet the number one spot is almost always sport or entertainment related. But Pastor Wilkerson’s passing has bucked that trend.
Praise the Lord for this mighty man of God. When you step out boldly in the Lord’s work, even the secularists notice you.
Crash Details
Wilkerson was driving east on U.S. 175 in Texas Wednesday afternoon, and moved into the opposite lane where a tractor trailer was driving westbound. The truck driver saw the car and tried to move out of the way, but still collided with the pastor’s car head on, according to Public Safety Trooper Eric Long.
It’s unclear what caused Wilkerson to veer into the other lane. His wife Gwen was also involved in the crash and rushed to the hospital, along with the truck driver.
Wilkerson was pronounced dead on the scene.

WHEN ALL MEANS FAIL
To believe when all means fail is exceedingly pleasing to God and is most acceptable. Jesus said to Thomas, You have believed because you have seen, but blessed are those that do believe and have not seen (John 20:29).
Blessed are those who believe when there is no evidence of an answer to prayerwho trust beyond hope when all means have failed.
Someone has come to the place of hopelessnessthe end of hopethe end of all means. A loved one is facing death and doctors give no hope. Death seems inevitable. Hope is gone. The miracle prayed for is not happening.
That is when Satans hordes come to attack your mind with fear, anger, overwhelming questions: Where is your God now? You prayed until you had no tears left. You fasted. You stood on promises. You trusted.
Blasphemous thoughts will be injected into your mind: Prayer failed. Faith failed. Dont quit on Godjust do not trust him anymore. It doesnt pay!
Even questioning Gods existence will be injected into your mind. These have been the devices of Satan for centuries. Some of the godliest men and women who ever lived were under such demonic attacks.
To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nightsand in that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, I am with you. I cannot tell you why right now, but one day it will all make sense. You will see it was all part of my plan. It was no accident. It was no failure on your part. Hold fast. Let me embrace you in your hour of pain.
Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love. When all means failhis love prevails. Hold fast to your faith. Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world.

David Wilkerson’s final blog post was profound. Thanks for that.
This was in the article you posted.
I find it most fitting:
“To those going through the valley and shadow of death, hear this word: Weeping will last through some dark, awful nights, and in that darkness you will soon hear the Father whisper, “I am with you,’” Wilkerson wrote. “Beloved, God has never failed to act but in goodness and love. When all means fail-his love prevails. Hold fast to your faith. Stand fast in his Word. There is no other hope in this world.”
I have been reading through a book David Willkerson read early on called “The Christian in Complete Armour” by William Gurnall. It is very good. Not listening to and understanding how Satan tries to lie to us was covered in one section. But I keep coming back to the main point, stay fixed on God. David Willkerson stayed fixed on God.
Lord, help us as we look to you for the courage we will all need in the coming implosion that lies before this nation and the world. Amen.
You may know about this, but here’s a ping in case you don’t.
Incredible. Thanks for the link.
