That is consistent with Adobe Acrobat separating text from a background image for compression. The document appears to be authentic. The original record was copied on microfiche which was then used to print the new certificate which was then signed by the registrar.

There has never been a case before the USSC that dealt with NBC. NBC has no relevance in US law except as an eligibility requirement for President. All Presidents before Obama, met this requirement or the grandfather exemption built in Article II.
No cases arguing NBC have ever been made before the USSC....so how could you say....

Even so USSC cases discussing “citizenship” have often referenced NBC. In each of these cases the accepted USSC definition has always been the same “born in country to citizen parents.”
How can you say that NBC is “unsettled?”
The term has a well defined and acknowledged definition. It however has never been adjudicated in regards to the Presidency so in that regard you are correct.....having never been heard it could be called “unsettled.” Obama is out to settle that!
That is what is embedded in the .pdf. If you like I can send you the entire document unzipped. It can be viewed in most text editors, but the raw data cannot be viewed that way.
True, separating into layers does not in and of itself create smaller files. Acrobat separates documents into layers to allow different types of compression optimized for different types of data. That is what made Adobe Acrobat such a great program in the first place.

1. Original document in a bound book.
2. Photocopied out of that book. (curl on left side)
3. Scanned (#2 & #3 could be the same)
4. Copied onto patterned paper
5. Scanned again (causing the white lines around the type due to unsharp masking)
6. Opened in Illustrator
7. Converted to PDF

You have your take . I have mine. I have actually listened to the oral arguments of a case where they actually discuss NBC.You don’t even know that discussion exists.
It is interesting to note that the same case was discussed again recently before SCOTUS. Not one word was mentioned about NBC during oral arguments.
The court differs on what they think is required for Presidency as can be heard in that oral argument...and , yes, that matter is not settled.
Therefore, you cannot say what might or might not be an NBC other than you know the strictist jus soli AND jus sanguinis qualifies.
If you magnify it on the computer, you will also see that the word "of" preceding "txe" is also darker. For whatever reason, both of those words have been altered. It's not just the "TXE".
It is possible when they put this together, someone didn't have their specs on. When some words are very enlarged, they are not clear, and then when you resize them, they are. Like this image. Some ofthe normal letters do not appear corrctly. I think they just made a huge mistake and didn't catch it before they rushed to release it.
They probably thought it was just an artifact.

Explain the likenesses in the written signatures. explain TXE typo. Scan it a hundred times and it still comes out TXE...not THE.
That sounds like a very plausible explanation. Also, I’m not sold on the “TXE” clue. It can easily be read as “THE” with the ink and stamp disfiguring the letter H.

Btw, there seems to be some difference on whether they used Oahu or Hawaii. They differ on the Nordyke twins under Country/state.
Not sure, not a Mac expert. It seems possible since Quartz uses .pdf internally, but I suspect the date came from the final creation of the .pdf.
