Donald Trump's $100K Attack on Karl Rove (Gave to Rove's Political Groups)

Donald Trump is fuming at the man George Bush called “the Brain” and says he may target him just as he did Rosie O’Donnell. Trump is telling business associates that Karl Rove will lead Republicans right down the drain just like he did with Bush’s final moments in office.

Trump is particularly angry because he says he donated mega-bucks to Rove’s political committees last year but now finds the strategist on Fox News attacking him and the idea of a possible presidential bid.

-snip-

Trump already had voiced his displeasure with Rove, who appeared on Fox recently and slammed the billionaire as a “joke candidate” for his talk about Obama’s birth certificate. He said Trump has put himself on “the nutty right”

-snip-

On Monday, Trump struck back at Rove during an appearance via phone on “Fox & Friends.” Trump told the audience that Rove doesn’t “love me” because he, Trump, had been critical of Bush.

“I am very upset with Bush. He gave us Obama and Karl Rove was Bush.

“You could have backed Abraham Lincoln and he couldn’t have beaten Obama at that time because of what Karl and Bush had done.”

-snip-

Rove said Trump is leading the pack of potential GOP presidential candidates in several polls because he “says outrageous things.”

The source said: “Trump is angry because he donated to the guy.”

According to the participant at the meeting, Trump told the high-level donors that Rove saw him shortly before last year’s congressional election. Rove asked for a meeting and Trump agreed.

The two met at Trump’s Fifth Avenue offices in New York. Trump told the group that Rove asked for, and received, a hefty donation from Trump of $100,000,

Thanks for the correct terminology for Rove! I have been calling an elite beltway pundit.

The things Rove was involved in and promoted from the second Bush term until now probably earned him all sorts of descriptions.

Wow - Looks like Trump has been giving to Republicans too, not just to Democrats. In one way this is reassuring.

Trump should ask for a refund.

Who cares? Trump is the only one who is not afraid of The Obama Mainstream Media (including FOX News).

Thanks Red Steel. From the "Crime Doesn't Pay" category:

This pretty much depicts Rove's weakness and why Bush ended up disliked.

think about it.. he meets with Trump challenges him to offer some monetary support.. Trump tosses him a $100,000.. then Rove at first chance calls Trump a "joke candidate".

"Gosh, Mr ROVE.. what a brilliant move" /s

After this is over, he’s going to be known as Rovie O’Donnell.

Right on. Rove is just a real sleazebag.

I was no COD fan but what he did to her campaign (on her biggest night, no less) was despicable.

Or it could be that Trump knew the Country was in a bad situation and donating to the GOP would win Congress and maybe the Senate. If anything I think this gives more credibility to Trump’s reasoning for running. As far as Rove, he has gone from a king maker to a check collector.

Sounds like $100K from the pocket of one snake to
the pocket of another snake. Trump’s history reveals
himself as a “hobby” Republican not too unlike the most
recent California GOP governor. DT will always switch
sides just because he can.

May the Roviarian cyst get it from both ends ...

The Donald is no Conservative so from that angle and the Conservative end may the Roviarian be perferated as well.

May the little bald fart finally be put out of business

Donald needs to run against Obama in the democratic primary. If he can’t beat him there he won’t beat him in November.

A lot of republicans will cross over to vote for him there. Until then, give me the Pit Bull with Lipstick.

“I repeat, what party will Trump run under???”

Trump has said - he’s running as a Republican if he gets the nomination, the contest for which he thinks will be harder than the actual election. He’s also said if he doesn’t get the Republican nomination he’d run as an independent, but if, and only if, polling had him winning the election convincingly, and not just drawing the votes away from a Republican needed to defeat the golfer in residence.

Or it could be that Trump knew the Country was in a bad situation and donating to the GOP would win Congress and maybe the Senate.

Among others, Dick Morris was doing the same thing as Rove...he could've donated to a different organization.

There just seems to be a willingness to accept anything Trump says today without comparing it to something he did yesterday.

Neither Rove nor Trump will be on my Christmas list, but there seems to be a special dispensation for all previous sins committed by the Donald. A privilege no other Republican presidential hopeful enjoys.

I remember seeing Trump’s rather significant contribution to Rove’s group recently when someone posted all of The Donald’s political handouts to show how liberal they were. Made me wonder about Rove’s taking shots at DT.

It’s not as if Rove didn’t personally solicit the donations. Rove seems to think his role in life is to preserve the Bush Legacy (that, frankly, would have been better without him). Odd, odd fellow.
