Former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson announced today that he's running for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination.

"I'm ready for a different America," Johnson said in a statement today. "I'm ready for the day when a person can build a good life on a decent income, and we can take our government at its word."

Johnson announced his candidacy Thursday morning on the steps of the New Hampshire State House and plans to spend three days in the early-nominating state meeting with supporters and visiting local businesses.

Sir, for too long we have allowed the butchers of innocent, defenseless, helpless, little children to hide behind silly euphemisms.

From now on I'm voting for the person I want to be president, whether that person has a chance of winning or n

Exactly why I'm not voting for Trump or Huntsman.. period. I too have been down the "lesser of two evils" path.

What's even more unsettling is the weakness of the Republican field. Not one of them beats 0bama.

Great explanation, thanks much! I was really wondering where exactly you were coming from and you it explained it well.

I appreciate it. I think now I see why people say that.

I'm gonna change my name to “None Of The Above” and start running in Republican primaries...I'll probably win.

Thus far, looking at the field, I would vote for you.

You do conservatism a disservice with your hideous rhetoric.

Hideous rhetoric?? Are you kidding??

To say that a child is still a child even though it's smaller and more helpless is "hideous?"

That's some scary rhetoric there, Mr Farnsworth.

You two are freaking nuts.

If you want to win the battle, then frame the argument correctly.

If you do not, then the public will brand you (correctly) as extremists and zealots. Beings without reason.

I'm sure you have the possibility to understand reason, but have chosen to not activate it (reason) in our dialogs.

There are some here on FR that actually believe that killing an abortion Doctor is good and acceptable.

I have had similar exchanges with them.

I DO NOT IMPLY THAT YOU TWO (idiots) AGREE WIHT THAT THOUGHT PROCESS! I do accuse you of zealotry and of a lack of reason.

Q: who will you vote for in a future election if your two candidates are: 1) Obama or 2) a pro-choice Republican?

It's unfortunate, Leo, but some just don't speak the language of logic or even common sense. Emotional rhetoric is the best that they can do. If they were born Democrat, they'd have voted for Obama. But because they were born into a Republican family, they'll vote for who ever makes them feel good about themselves. It's just the way it is.

Grow up.

Ironic you should use that phrase (twice). Abortion is killing kids AS they grow up...

Two words which, in a nutshell, describe exactly what every aborted child could never do.

So, you equate calling child-killing child-killing with killing abortionists.

So, just who is guilty of “extremist” rhetoric here?

In answer to your last question: I don’t support those who empower the butchering of little babies, no matter how many boogey men you hold up, and no matter what letter happens to be next to their name.

Do you support the election of those who enable little children to be killed?
