This may be old news, but, I just ran across this article.
It was reported recently that country music singer Hank Williams Jr. plans to run for a U.S. Senate seat in Tennessee in 2012 -- the next time a Senate seat is up in the state. An intriguing notion to say the least, but no announcement has been made yet, according to Williams's publicist.

He’ll win by 80 points, and won’t even have to really say anything.

"I thought he lived in Montana...."Maybe you're confusing him with Ted Nugent?

Hank jr. is a douche. Hank III, however, is the real thing.

That may have been floated 2 1/2 years ago when the article was written, but I’ve heard no mention of it since.

The article does say for the seat coming up in 2012, so, who knows?

That primary is only a year away and there’d already be an announcement or some sort of semi-public floating of his candidacy and there’s been precisely nothing. Corker has a crapload of money and he doesn’t even have a Democrat name being mentioned now (only some unknown GOP challenger). Unless ex-Gov. Bredesen steps up, I don’t expect Corker to have anyone really challenge him.
