Call him a NOW-hawk . . .
Of all the reasons to send our people to fight and die in Afghanistan, spending $2 billion per week in the process, Howard Dean has managed to come up with perhaps the worst: feminism.
On today's Morning Joe, Dean explained that "the whole reason" he used to support President Obama's waging of the Afghanistan war was that leaving the country would plunge its women back into "the Stone Age." But now that Afghan President Karzai has showed insufficient support for women's right in Dean's eyes, it's time to get out.

Howard Dean says only reason to fight in Afghanistan was support for women’s rights. Ping to Today show list.
I never agree with Dean on anything. I however believe that we will get out for political reasons in large numbers before the 2012 election. Therefore, I think we should just leave now rather than lose more American Soldiers and Marines.
Ever wonder how people like Howard Dean come to enjoy such positions of power...when they say and do things that are just asinine (extremely or utterly foolish)?
I used to think that such people were confined to the world of education (my career field) but “you can’t make this stuff up” - sigh...
What a load. Seems to me this was NEVER uttered as a concern from the left. Ever. Suddenly NOW they have a reason to fight, because Dear Leader is in the WH. These people make me want to puke.
That’s funny, because you don’t really hear many feminists complaining about the plight of Muslim women...
(because they are on the same side as the Muslims - opposing Christianity)
He got that from Scheuer who said that winning hearts and minds in Afghanistan is not worth a single American life.
That if they want to keep their women in the stone age......let them!
Exactly
Well, feminism tends to destroy the culture and civilization in which it metastasizes, so poisoning the umma with the cancer of feminism would be a good way to defeat them.
We all know feminists love muslims and hijab. It is a male homosexual feminist religion, for goodness sake’s, which hates women who reproduce and are strong and to be recognized for their success in this and other domain.
Interestingly, former President George W. Bush is also a advocate for Afghan women, but he has a different take on our continuing presence in that country.
personally I think we should spring Feminism on the ‘Muzzies.
They’ll end up begging us to go back to dropping them Daisy Cutters...
