Beggars can't be choosers, I hear people talking about the wonderful candidates out there - great folks like Bachmann and West - who couldn't draw 40% of the vote against Obama even if they had ten years to make celebrities out of themselves. Right now...and even with a year and a half to go before the election...they can't find more than 10% of the voters who have even heard of them - and the only thing they will ever hear of them is what nastiness the MSM will paint all over them, just like they did to Palin.
Trump is already known by practically everyone, he doesn't need for people to figure out who he is...he's already as well-known as Obama is. Who else do we have that fits that bill? Romney? Palin? Both have been heavily damaged, Romney of his own making and Palin has been ultra-Borked. They can't Bork Trump - he's too damned well-known already.

The Palin worshipers on this forum had better prepare themselves for this one. It will be quite ugly for their candidate. They posted this as a non-issue yesterday, but CNN has taken charge of it and it will be trouble in the coming weeks.
By the time Reagan ran for the GOP presidential nomination, he had served as a GOP governor in California and had well-established conservative credentials. He had articulated the conservative message with passion, sincerity, and clarity so well that anyone who tried to paint him as a left-wing RINO would have immediately been castigated even by the John Birch society as a loony.
