Former Sarah Palin aide Frank Bailey is finally getting his tell-all book published.
While a transcript of the book leaked out to the press in February and took some of the thunder from its release, an imprint of Simon & Schuster announced Monday that it will publish Blind Allegiance on May 24.
Bailey paints a highly unflattering portrait of Palin in the book, quoting at length from emails from the former Alaska governor showing her intense focus on how the press covered her.
Though the book contains many embarrassing anecdotes for Palin, Bailey had struggled to get the book printed. He has been shopping a manuscript since late 2009, and analysts speculated that after the release of a leaked manuscript, the lengthy book heavy on insider Alaska politics would struggle to find an audience.
Bailey is an admittedly disgruntled ex-aide who feels as though he was unjustly sidelined as part of Palins operation. He worked for Palin during her term as governor and the 2008 presidential campaign.

I think these "tell alls" are nothing more than political tools. Get any "dirt" you want out in the public domain "early"...scoff later if it is brought back up..
/just me?

[... Bailey had struggled to get the book printed ...]
What the writer meant to say is they are waiting
for Palin to get the nomination, so they can
release the book the weekend before elections.
This way, no one will be able to refute the lies
until the election dust has settled.

For the Palin supporters, maybe the week of May 24 would be a good time to buy her 2nd book. I’ve read Going Rogue but haven’t yet got around to America by Heart. I’m thinking I’ll have to get that one.

Wrong. I think one of Sarah’s many strengths
is nipping every snipe in the bud. Other
conservatives would do the same if they had
media cooperation. Indeed, we criticize our own
for not setting the record straight. Now she’s
doing it and we’re still unhappy.

"Indeed, we criticize our own for not setting the record straight."
You can set the record straight without answering every charge from every loser critic out there. She has more air time than any candidate there is. She has plenty of opportunities to get her message out. Don't waste it by answering dimwitted critics. It hasn't helped her. It's brought her down to their level.
To: Old Teufel Hunden
This dimwitted critic is getting a
book published and the media will
use it as a pummel stick.
We agree to disagree.

"...the former Alaska governor showing her intense focus on how the press covered her. "
Even if that is true - which I doubt - with the routing the MSM has given Sarah and her family, who wouldn't have an intense focus on what they say.
From Letterman insulting her and her daughter to stalkers threatening to rape her daughter, what Mom in the whole wide world - except maybe a democrat one - wouldn't be concerned about what is being written.
I think this book is little more than a compilation of negative newspaper and network hits from the left.
Hell, obama is so incensed on what people are saying about him, he wants to assign national internet ID's so he can track us and have his distractors arrested, or at least, audited.

She has to rise above her critics. She has not been able to do that yet.
GW rose above his critics, in the end they ended up defining who he was to the nation along with the media psychophants and the USA got Obama...
Palin is doing just fine sticking it to the media, she is not going after every slight (don't think there are enough hours in a day to do that) but she goes after the important ones, and takes them head on and demolishes them.
The GOP leadership could learn much from her.

Bush tried rising above with critics and ended up with 20% approval ratings. You can’t whine, but you must fight back. I know that’s a fine line, especially for a pubbie.

So Obama's election is George Bush's fault? Wow, even our side now is falling into this canard.

"Bush tried rising above with critics and ended up with 20% approval ratings."
Reagan had far more critics than Palin. He also had only the big three media outlets in which to communicate with, not the plethora of outlets that are available to Palin. He managed to rise above his critics.

The ‘plethora of outlets’ work bothways.

So Obama's election is George Bush's fault? Wow, even our side now is falling into this canard. Trump and his pal Michael Cohen have been saying that Obama's election is Bush's fault. I guess people on our side are starting to buy in to that.
That said, I agree with the poster that Bush should have defended himself more than he did and in most cases I glad that she is.

"The plethora of outlets work bothways."
And when there's only three networks, all your enemies kind of makes it difficult. Reagan didn't have the internet or Foxnews. He was able to do it. Quit making excuses for Sarah. I thought conservatives were about personal responsibility? I thought conservatives were not about making excuses? She needs to quit sniping at every critic that comes out of the woodwork. She's been doing much better of that lately. Perhaps she's learning.

You are beginning to sound very intolerant. That will only push SP’s polling numbers even lower.
