I know under President Bush it got down to 4.5%. What did it get to under President Steve before they changed the formula for determining the rate? At least 10%. "Officially"! Ha!
Leftist-wing projection alert! It’s Obama’s plan that will turn America into a third world country (as well as his most ardent desire).
Amnesty for 20 million illegals will surely make us a 3rd world nation. Is that part of Obama’s thinking?
• Real earnings have fallen for five straight months, and are down 1% since the end of last year.
• Consumer price inflation is growing at a 6.1% annual rate over the last three months, while producer prices are rising an even-faster 13%. According to John Williams of the Shadow Government Statistics website, if we measure consumer prices the way we did before 1992, inflation is now running at 10% a year.
• The U.S. has added $6 trillion to its debt under Obama, a sure sign of being on the road to Third World status. Three years ago, the U.S. had $7.9 trillion in debt. Today, we have $14 trillion. Bankrupt, hyperinflated Zimbabwe couldn't do any better.
How sad that even our president doesn’t know what “third world” means. If I may, the term was coined after WWII to describe those countries which were neither aligned with the “free” world nor the communist. Thus, the free, communist and the third world. The term has nothing to do with wealth or poverty.

Obamacare, over-regulation and taxation all mitigate against productivity and encourage dependence on government.
THIS is what will drive America to third world status.

I guess if that’s the Republicans’ goal, they aren’t being very efficient about it. Not nearly as efficient as the Democrats are, anyway.
