Conservatives are urging their grass-roots colleagues to mute their criticisms of House Speaker John Boehner and the GOP leadership, and to get behind their efforts to address out-of-control spending in Washington.
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax on Thursday, former GOP Rep. Pete Hoekstra said the tea-party faithful need to give Boehner a little bit of breathing room.

Which is exactly the desired effect.
Most of us Palin supporters have known about these trolls for a long time based on her Facebook experience. Essentially, they are a professional cadre of online operatives (bolstered by freelancers) working on behalf of the DNC to astro-turf Conservative communications media and wage psychological warfare against us. These cretins are vicious, and will stoop to any level to achieve their twisted agenda. The Clinton organization came up with this tactic straight out of the Alinsky playbook and Axelrod perfected it.

HOW COLLECTIVISTS USE THE DIAMOND TACTIC TO SWAY PUBLIC MEETINGS AND HOW TO THWART THEM
Tired won't get the job done. Boehner has the power now , not Pelosi. Either he delivers or we will experience a setback.
At least Ryan is doing his best but it won't count for 2011. It looks like it all hinges on 2012.
But 61 Billion out of over 3 Trillion is one small step for mankind.
NO MORE RINOS! GO AWAY, ASAP,RINOS!
I previously lived on Rep. Hoekstra’s district. Are you familiar with his record? Apart from disagreeing with him on this, what makes you think he is a Rino?
Well for all the people bash some fo the GOp members - run for office. They are now under physical threats in DC, ALL of TV supports O and the Dems - Fox is covering for him.
Enabled by the public who watches TV. So if you watch or pay cable or sat bills then you empower O and the Dems. I loathe RINOs as much as anyone but the elites control the masses through Tv and the media.
Well said. Thank you.
He is anti-Tea Party, that tells me a lot.
You DO know the reason he’s a former Rep., right? You’re not just displaying your ignorance to pen a seemingly clever post, right?
I think it would be better for the Rinos, who have no ideas of their own and have no respect for freedom, to stop clawing at the tea party and get behind us and our ideas.
So I guess we are even. One for the Tea Party shutting up. And one for the Rinos shutting up.
“He can breathe between kicks to the a$$.”
I haven’t laughed so hard since Queen Nancy lost her gavel. Thanks for some first rate humor!
EXACTLY. So many arm-chair leaders here have no idea what they're talking about. It's pathetically easy to post how tough one would or should be. Boehner is the one who's out there doing the actual fighting. Yes, he works for us, but that doesn't mean we know better than he how to win the war.
It's almost like you want conservatism to be taken seriously and make gains--instead of it just being an opportunity to whine, insult, and drive the center to the Left!
When in doubt, pinky out.
Being the angriest conservatives does not make posters here better conservatives than anyone else.
As a group, and as a Party, it is important that we stand united. It is also important that we not become so focused on winning the battle that we lose the war.
I like Boehner. I like Hoekstra. I trust that they will act on behalf of what is best for this country.
I’m not sure what the sticking points for the budget are right now, but if they are small items like funding for Planned Parenthood, i’d say, “Let it go, for now”
I hate to admit it, but Obama was right when he said that the budget fight is a distraction, but it’s the Democrats who created the distraction and are continuing it, as a means of holding their party together and reminding them why they are Democrats.
The left is breaking apart over jobs, energy policy and war. The only issue that they can all agree on is the budget. So, take that issue off the table. Make the best deal that we can and move on.
Most of the country has not been paying much attention, but the Obama administration has been trying to re-inforce union loyalty through a nuanced coal policy. They had been promising to open 21 billion dollars worth of coal leases in Wyoming to be shipped by Buffet’s trains to a new commodity port in WA state (think longshoremen) to be burned in China, instead of here.
They even put Trumka, the former head of the United Mine Workers in charge of the AFL-CIO, to help put all this together. Then last Friday Salazar went to Wyoming for the big announcement and told everyone that there was some “mis-understanding”, there was only going to be 2 billion dollars worth of leases and the rest MIGHT be released at a future date. NO COAL, or at least very little.
So, when this all sinks in, what is going to be the union response? ...stay tuned for that one.
Then, we have the war in Libya, and the rest of the Obama energy policy, disappointment over cap and trade that are all pulling the Democrats in different directions than Obama wants to take them, if he could lead.
Seriously? That's what you have a problem with? I couldn't care less what color his skin is, I just wish he would stop crying all the time. Is he a man or a little girl?
