7:46 PM Central Time:

Kloppenburg campaign statement

Statement from JoAnne Kloppenburg campaign manager Melissa Mulliken:

"Wisconsin voters as well as the Kloppenburg for Justice Campaign deserve a full explanation of how and why these 14,000 votes from an entire City were missed. To that end, we will be filing open records requests for all relevant documentation related to the reporting of election results in Waukesha County, as well as to the discovery and reporting of the errors announced by the County. We are confident that election officials in Waukesha County will fulfill these requests as quickly as possible so that both our campaign and the people of Wisconsin can fully understand what happened and why. Just as Assistant Attorney General Kloppenburg has run to restore confidence in the court, Wisconsin residents also deserve to have full confidence in election results."

Kloppenburg will likely NOT have to pay for a recount since the margin was within .5% of the 1.5 million votes cast but it's a bit close. Will have to wait for the fianl numbers to say for sure.

Here is the WI law:

For elections where more than 1,000 votes are cast, if the margin is not more than .5%, the initiator does not pay a fee; if it is between 0.5 and 2.0%, the fee is $5 per ward; and if it is greater than 2%, they pay the entire cost of the recount.

Nobody misplaced any votes. They were counted correctly and documented correctly in the formal certification process. The error came when they weren't added correctly for the "unofficial" results given to the media on Tuesday night.

This was a reporting error, not a counting error.

That has something to do with it. The Ass in Chief gets the Number One guy who can play America just as well. I find it quite amusing.

Rumor has it that Klopinshmoker is heading for Illinois.

From an undisclosed location she said, “They cannot declare Prosser the winner if I am not in the state.”

I thought Dems were all about ‘counting every vote’?

No, they are only about "counting every Democrat vote".

.....and they want to count the dead votes, the illegal votes, the manufactured votes, the votes of bused in union dem thugs willing to vote multiple times on a day trip across the state...oh, they only want to throw out Republican votes, conservative votes, libertarian votes, pro-life votes...

The left always considers it a conspiracy when conservatives conspire to show up and vote in greater numbers than they can beg borrow or steal.

HEY KLOPPY - GET OUT OF PROSSER'S SEAT!!!!

I think Walker has something else going on here. I don't think it was a mistake not reporting all the results. I think he lured the Dems into a trap.

While originally showing Prosser leading, all of sudden at the very end Dems got just enough votes to make it appear that Dems won. Union thug Dems stuff just enough votes to put Klop over the top, and then Dems crowed the victory.

Assume that Walker has had a stake out that documents this stuff finally. Union Dems got away with this in WA (2004 - Rossi),in MN (Franken - 2008), in CT (Blumenthal 2010), etc etc. Maybe Walker blows this open for the world to see. Prosecutes the SEIU thugs responsible for this and the rable over the past weeks over the collective bargaining stuff.

Remember all the chicken littles around here posting what a loss Walker would sustain in the media wars -- but in truth he kept his powder dry and he was always 10 steps a head, pulled a rabbit out of the hat and all the Dems who ran were rendered unnecessary for the vote, They look like jerks for running.

Same thing on the publishing of the law. Walker rope-a-dopes that stupid judge who put the stay on the wrong guy and he published the law any way!

So here goes Walker again - holds off reporting all the votes until he captures Dem union thugs shredding ballots, and then discovers a clerical error that "missed" 8000 votes cast that they just never got around reporting to (the liberal news media flak) AP. Now Klop declares victory prematurely, AP is all to happy to do so, and Walker produces those 8000 votes and bitch slaps the Klop into oblivion.

Prosser is re-elected. Grinning ear to ear "humbly" on Greta tonight in fact - won't overplay his hand but he knows the victory is very likely to be his. He even recounts the electoral tally back-n-forth "contemplatively"....

Walker turns back to that county judge who placed that stay on the law publication and with a well earned snicker turns and says, "What did you say your problem was with publishing the law?...."

And all the handwringers singing all the Jeremiads around here the other night look just like the pathological worry-worts they always do.

Walker is brilliant.

FReegards!

The AP should NOT, nor should any news outlet, serve as the end-all, be-all as to the certification of votes. That has become a bad habit in this country and the Dems have used it to their advantage, with the Republicans being too whimpy to challenge what the media prints.

Good for Prosser.

The votes were not misplaced. They were not reported to the AP. AP is not the official canvasser of votes, the Government Accountability Board of Wisconsin is. Getting too worked up over who wins will only prolong the agony of this election.

Same day voter registrations from false residents, underage high school kids voting and sometimes twice, mentally incapacitated being assisted to vote on ballots etc.... all Dem fraudulent practices. That is inexcusable and bet that Prosser’s lead is much less in reality due to this type of ‘Rat fraud.

"When she declared victory, she told Prosser not to put Wisconsin through a recount."

This should be repeated over, and over, and over.

They were never misplaced - they just didn’t feed over to the media’s unofficial tally of the vote. The Associated Press is not an official entity for certifying election results.

Vote totals were incorrectly reported to the Associated Press. There was NO ERROR in the official vote count, no ballots found that had been “overlooked.” Note that reporting votes the press is NOT an official act, has no legal standing, and merely a favor to the press.

The Kloppenburg campaign can also advise why this matters since she had already fallen behind before this was even found out or revealed.
