I agree, legalizing marijuana won’t solve much other than making less criminals out of marijuana users (and they would probably get a better product if it was legalized).
The problem is the hard shit isn’t coming “across” the border. Its coming underneath in tunnels and through cartel subs.
Marijuana smuggling by land is just low level fodder the cartel heads allow the underlings to get away with, for a slice of course.

The justification behind the 1914 drug laws was that black men were getting high on cocaine and raping white women (totally untrue).
