This election is important nationally too. If Kloppenburg is elected the Wisconsin mandate by the electorate in 2010 in this state will be negated by the WI Supreme Court and the unions will have won.
I live in a hardcore conservative area and discovered today that my Prosser yardsign was mutilated and thrown into one of my plantings.
Pray for Wisconsin and for Prosser's election!
“Waukesha is holding back a like number of precincts.
They seem to be playing the game with Dane.”
That’s the way to do it....good for Waukesha!
Diana. I’m hoping you’re right! I’m sending up a lot of prayers for Wisconsin tonight. No matter how this turns out though, I’m really proud of your state and what they done in the last election as well as this one. Going up against the BIG money unions is never easy. Look how they “pulled it out” for Stinky Harry Reid back in November. Way to go Wisconsin! You’re making America proud. IMHO!
I don’t think any of Madison has reported yet. So the Dane totals are only going to get worse.
OK. 10:35 EDT results
Dane 65/248
Waukesha 21/198
What does that look like to you in terms of precincts reporting?
And if Waukesha is NOT playing the game, WHY NOT?
It’s about time somebody started beating the ‘rats at their own game.
For what it’s worth, three tax increase referendum questions from Green County WI have all been defeated. This is a rural county adjacent to Dane (Madistan) and might be an indicator of sentiment in rural WI.
It is precious. He later became a State Representative and quite an ambassador for Russian Nuclear involvement in all safety related issues. He was a Beekeeper nut in the 70’s and took 4 kids to a secret nuc plant where we were strongly advised to not jump in the water. :^)
it’s NPR talking i think it was a range but they are babbling
but that’s what i thought they said ,
Diana, I read you post hopefully and I will try to keep the faith with you. Good Luck, Wisconsin!!
Near Green Bay
Madison has about 20% in, + or -
I think milwaukee county turnout was 48% in Nov so 2/3’s of that would be 32% which seems pretty high and not a good sign for Prosser. Was hoping mIlw Cty turnout would be closer to 25-30%...we shall see
Make that 30%
Less than 2,000 votes between them right now.
What a nail biter. I can’t believe there are so many dumb people in WI who would vote for someone without judicial experience. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised - they voted for a president who had no experience. They rush to find someone with a D after their name, I guess.
It’s a close race, I’ve got a spreadsheet set up and am pulling in the data by county, comparing it to the 2004 Bush/Gore race. Unfortunately, just projecting on a straight line based on the number of precincts outstanding is not completely accurate. At this stage that would be forecasting a 40% higher turnout in Waukesha than there was in 2004. While I’m sure the GOP got out the vote there pretty well, I doubt it was that high (what it really means is that the larger precincts in Waukesha have reported).
In any event, this looks like a really tight race. Milwaukee County turnout looks lower than average while Dane County is higher (right now at 93% of the 2004 turnout, but I seriously doubt that’s accurate, just means, like Waukesha, some of the bigger precincts have reported).
Basically Prosser underperforming Bush in 25 of 49 counties with percincts reporting and outperforming Bush in 24 of 49 counties. This will come down to turnout, and probably be a battle of Dane vs. Waukesha Counties on turnout.
What exactly would Waukesha “holding back” precincts accomplish? The votes are in. Are you suggesting that people manufacture votes in Waukesha to counter anything done in Dane? The reality is, precincts with more people take longer to report, hence the reason that Waukesha hasn’t reported some of the bigger areas yet. Same with Dane. The totals that are in from Dane now are not from Madison proper.
Are there any other People’s Republics in the state outside of Madison and Milwaukee?
