Wisconsin Election Thread (post your polling place, what number voter you were, thoughts on turnout)
4/5/2011 | milwguy

Today is the day. The election results in November where we swept out the Democrat trash and took back our state gov't in Wisconsin will have meant nothing if the Rats can nullify that election by taking over the State Supreme Court.

My son is a student in Madistan, the heart of Kloppenberg country, enemy territory, on the campus of UW. he just left his polling place and was voter number 106. In the November election, he voted an hour later (1pm) and was voter 500+. He said student enthusiasm at UW seems pretty low and turnout will not be so strong. Judging from the number he was at noon, I suspect he is right.

Any other reports about turnout from around the state? I am off to vote soon here in the heart of Ozaukee County and will post on that later.

Back to our regularly scheduled program... Other half voted late afternoon, and the turnout was still very light. I got a ‘get-out-the-vote’ call about five o’clock from a very pleasant lady, so the good guys are on duty.

I will await a reprimand from the FreeRepublic mamagement. They are honest people. You have given yourself away. We know who you are. Easily manipulated and easily told what to do. What easy hunting you are!

I want to live where you live! We were absolutely phone-spammed this week. Nine calls yesterday alone . . .

All right, that constitutes stalking. I don't know who you are or who you think I am, but you are one sick puppy, and I will report your stalking. I am well established at FR.

OK. Let’s do this. Don’t respond to this reply and I will no longer respond to you. I no longer wish to pollute my thought space with your drivel. Do not contact me again!

C’mon, folks. If you must trade barbs do it privately. Don’t kill the thread with invective. Do it for the children!

Great advice from BraveMan. I suggest you heed his advice.

I certainly have no desire to interact with the stalker at all, for children or kitties. But I must set the record straight that I never, ever ‘contacted’ him. Never even heard of him before he insulted me today out of the clear, blue sky.

What on earth are you talking about? I was called a name by a stranger. What would you have a person do in such a situation? And now you call me another name? This is madness.

Go back and read your responses. Try calming down before you respond to people, it might help.

I’m perfectly calm. It is the name-callers who can’t seem to remain calm and civilized.

Number 776 in Fort Atkinson WI in poling place 8 at about 4:30 pm.

I felt bad because I didn't know who several on the ballet for different things were. I avidly hope that a national Conservative internet site will be put together where anyone from anywhere can go to the site put their zip code in and be routed to the page from their area with all the candidates conservatives endorse on it. If there are several candidates you could then be referred to a page that would tell you where they differ. This would include everyone from dogcatcher to President. It is at the grass roots that many critical decisions in society are made and also where politicians get their start.

Such a site would cause politicians to begin to cater to Conservatives. "Liberals" have many avenues such as through their unions that inform their people about who to vote for and encourage them to do so from dogcatcher on up. Conservative need something like this. Someplace they can find out who to vote through no matter where they live. This could revolutionize Conservative voting. Believe me there are a whole lot of people out there who do not know who to vote for many of the local positions.

On this site you could also be sign up to be reminded to vote. You could also sign up for emails that would be routed through the site by the local candidates that would explain to you what they believe and what they plan on doing if they got elected. This site would be like a Conservative clearing house.

With 8% Prosser is now ahead by 200. TMJ4 seems to have quicker results:

Ugh.....50% of the people who pay attention are idiots.....and that is not taking into account that the majority of folks in this state probably had no clue there was an election today.
