Muslims burn effigy of Obama in Afghanistan; Karzai demands Terry Jones be punished
NY Daily News ^ | April 3, 2011 | Katie Nelson

Enraged demonstrators took to the streets of Afghanistan for a third day Sunday, killing two and injuring dozens of others after a fundamentalist Florida pastor burned the Koran.

President Hamid Karzai repeated his call to the White House, Senate and United Nations to bring to justice Terry Jones, the Gainsville, Fla. pastor who organized a mock "trial" that resulted in the burning of Islam's holy book on Friday, officials said.

Jones is the same inflammatory religious leader who threatened to burn a Koran last year on the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, triggering worldwide outrage.

Protests have erupted throughout Afghanistan since Jones' most recent stunt. At least 22 people in the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif were killed in the unrest, including seven UN staff members.

The UN, however, vowed that the attack - the worst in Afghanistan since the Taliban were toppled in 2001 - would not derail its work in the war-torn nation.

This is America and we have fought-for rights, including freedom of religion and expression.

Which Zero utterly despises, and is actively dismantling as we speak.

I’ve downloaded the Koran several times on my iPad. Then I delete it! Ha! Ha! Ha! — Come and get me...

Hate to say it, but I think this pastor and his family will be hunted down by radical muslims in this country and killed. Of course, the Lamestream press will blame Jones for any atrocities against him...and I think he was foolish to do this as well not because he CAN’T do it, but there were innocent lives lost because of his “statement.” While it should illustrate just how heinous and violent the Muslims are when they feel “desecrated,” the bottom line is that Jones (and Christians) will be blamed for the violent retaliation his burning provoked.

How about, we'll stop burning Koran's when they stop burning Christians?

(For example, http://www.cathnews.com/article.aspx?aeid=20237)

Seriously, the fact that Karzai is our "ally" is sick. When the history of this period is written, Bush and Obama will be remembered as Jihad warriors who drove a million Christians from Iraq and advanced and effectively sanctioned the persecution and murder of countless other Christians in Muslim lands. I'm perfectly serious, just think about it.

Christendom once knew how to defend itself. It is one thing for an individual to turn the other cheek; quite another to appease your enemy so he goes on to rape and murder your wife and children. That is the choice facing us, and we have a responsibility to defend not only ourselves but the whole of the non-Islamic world from Islam.

Beheading Christians vs. burning korans. There—that will even the score for the bloodthirsty savage followers of Mo’s Ham.

Here in FL, we have a “stand your ground” law on the books. If your life and or property is in danger, you can shoot. Me thinks a lot of good old boys and girls will keep an eye on the Pastor and his family!

Christians are blamed for so many things already. What’s one more? Those who choose to blame Christians for the UN deaths in Afghanistan at the hands of Muslims know in their hearts where the real blame lies. I see this as a defining moment, especially for those in the West. I pray God uses this as a means to reach those who are lost.

karzai should be brought to justice for trying to suppress free speech and religious rights.

Yep, I’m sure your right about the lamestream media would say. They always blame the Christians for everything, just like they do with Israel. And I agree, I think the pastor was very foolish in what he did. He should have known what was going to happen. The muslim people at least most anyway, are like stirring up a hornets nest. I don’t believe in backing down from these people, but, I sure as heck wouldn’t on purpose stir something up either.

but there were innocent lives lost because of his “statement.”

That is incorrect. Innocent lives were lost because of the death cult of islam, and the feral animals that insist on following it.

Jones had every right to burn the koran, whether anyone agrees with his decision or not. If they were offended, they could have burned a bible in response. They CHOSE to murder, their response was to slaughter innocents. That's all on them and their evil actions.

Everything I ever needed to learn about islam, I learned on September 11, 2001.

More proof that people with a sixth-century mindset do not handle adversity very well. I vote we take off and nuke ‘em from orbit.

When do you see Christians slaughtering and killing Muslims when they burn Bibles? But,it’s alright for Muslims to kill and mime Christians when their Korans are defiled.

Muslims do not want PEACE with Christians, they want submission.

Don’t overlook all the atrocities Muslims have committed and are still committing against Christians and Jews.

No, Islam is not a religion of peace, it is a warped, evil and violent religion. Submit or be exterminated!

NOTE:
On 21 March I noted the Terry Jones story on the net and wondered why the news was silent, now I know why. Also, Terry Jones did not burn the Koran, he merely wittnessed the burning.

You are right...the Muslims chose to murder and those murders are solely on their heads. Jones bears no moral responsibility for his actions. Yet, I am not sure that I would want to publicly burn the Koran knowing prior to doing so that people over there would die as a result of my actions. Let’s face it...the only reason that it got play over there in the first place is because our buddy, Harmad Karzai publicized it and made a big deal about it. He’d rather have the people hate us than hate him. Jones is the perfect scapegoat. WHen dealing with Arabs, logic does not work..it is solely emotional. One can argue that their actions of burning our flags or Bibles is desecration, but they will never go beyond their belief system about the supremcy of Islam. We are in the fight of our lives.

Has anyone heard any news from the “moderate muslim community”

By definition, all the 'moderate' are below ground level.
