Can’t remember the last time I was at a chain restaurant.
. And I’ve never been to a restaurant of any kind thinking I was going to get anything healthy. Oh well. I just went on a 10 mile run and a I am feeling some chicken fried steak with sausage gravy at my local mom and pop restaurant.
What we have is a huge bloated federal bureaucracy continues to attempt to stick its nose in everybody's business without any constitutional authority to do any of this crap.
What we need to have done is make a requirement that each and every Federal bureaucratic office post the number of federal tax dollars it wastes on crap like this every year.
Wasn’t there a study out that said to the effect that even though all these nutritionals are plastered everywhere people ate the same?
This mandate would just be for chains - guess there aren’t any calories in ‘fine dining’ establishments...hmmm, so now Ruth Chris’ and the like are getting slapped with this one?
Nutritionals take all the creativity out of cooking - just belly up to the table for your soylent green portions.

I have a better proposal. Abolish the FDA since regulating food and drugs are not enumerated powers granted to Congress per Article 1 Section 8 of the Constitution! They are powers reserved to the states or to the people!
Allegra proposes that the FDA be very deeply descoped.
Better we should all worry about our morbidly obese federal government.
What ever happened to personal judgment and restraint? Why should some government agency tell me what is fattening? Why should some government agency tell me anything?
How about the people telling the government something for a change?
Plan one: Make you feel guilty about the food you eat.
If plan one don’t work go to plan two.
Plan two: Make food so expensive you can’t afford to eat.
Plan three: If you want a government discount on food
you have to vote for a democrat.
This is nothing more than a foot in the door for

The nice thing is all those people who eat the grilled chicken caesar salad or the pasta alfredo fettucini cream sauce will now realize, horror of horrors that they are consuming more calories than the guy eating a steak or a burger.

This nanny state, tax and spend, we know better than you government has to end. Take back America, vote for real conservatives and back good candidates with your money and help. If we can’t get a better US Senate and President in 2012, we are well and truly doomed. I know too many Republicans turn out to disappoint us, but the TEA Party is keeping the heat on them and deserve our backing. Show up at any TEA Party events near you and join up. The TEA Party is the closest we have come to real patriots since 1776 and 1861 (yeah I’m a northerner).

The FDA is so far behind health news. It’s not calories that are making Americans fat. It’s starches; it’s grains. It’s sugar. It’s cheap vegetable oils. It’s all the nonfoods out there.
Sigh. It’s so frustrating.
Also, homosexual anal sex is far less healthy than eating like Moochelle Obama, anyway. Why doesn’t the FDA get involved in banning this behavior??? What? It’s done by an Official Protected Minority??? Oh. Never mind.
