Farrakhan defends Gadhafi, pans US role in Libya

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said Friday that the United States lacks the moral authority to attack the forces of embattled Libyan strongman Moammar Gadhafi.

Some Mississippi religious and civil rights leaders previously said it was offensive that Farrakhan was selected to speak at the conference.
Farrakhan criticized President Barack Obama for joining up with the "old colonial masters" of the Western-led forces and expressed skepticism about European countries espousing humanitarian concerns, saying they "give noble motives to their wickedness."
"Do you think they had humanitarian concerns when the British mowed down the Indians in India who were peacefully protesting?" he said. "Where in the hell is humanitarian values in America when you've got over 50 million Americans living in poverty, sick and diseased, with no healthcare?"
He also alleged that Obama had backed down from pushing a Palestinian-Israeli peace accord and banning settlement-building in the West Bank, calling him "the first Jewish president." Obama is a Christian.
"He was selected before he was elected," Farrakhan said. "And the people that selected him were rich, powerful members of the Jewish community."
Local Jewish leaders this week criticized Farrakhan for distorting historical fact in order to perpetuate harmful stereotypes. The Anti-Defamation League said recently that Farrakhan's anti-Semitism is "obsessive, diabolical and unrestrained."
Farrakhan has over the years denied claims of anti-Semitism, arguing his remarks are often taken out of context and that criticism of Jews in any light automatically earns the "anti-Semite" label. The Nation of Islam has espoused black nationalism and self-reliance since it was founded in the 1930s, though in recent years it has included other groups, including Latinos and immigrants.

‘Minister’ Louis Farrakhan is an aging (78 in May) loon who, much like Jeremiah Wright, has made a lucrative career out of hating America. He only opposes the U.S. incursion into Libya because it involves Muslims. That Farrakhan blasts Obama over the U.S. military action in Libya is simply collateral damage to Obama, but still ironic - and amusing.

Yes but for different reasons. Hannity wants to know why the USA is now suporting jihadists in Bengazi who formerly were fighters against the USA in Iraq, and Bengazi was the largest recruiting center for the Iraq war among jihadists, with the Muslim Brotherhood in aid..
Farakhan is against the US military in Libya for Muslim nationalist reasons, the idea that an alleged colonial power has no busiiness interfering with a sovereign Muslim nation, regardless of the nature and character if its governing power.
I am rootin for Qadaffi.I hope he emerges as the victor, simply because he has prevented north Africa and sub Sahara Africa from becomeing a part of the caliphate-jihadist movement. Muamar kills Al Qaeda and Muslim Brotherhooders where ever he finds them in Libya and has done so for almost a decade.
It is true that Soros was born a Jew. And he did “select” Obama.
Interesting to watch Farrakhan; maybe he’ll end up saying some things Obama doesn’t want him to say.
But it’s interesting that Farrakhan may actually be standing up to terrorism by supporting Ghadaffi, whereas Obama is using US forces to support terrorism by supporting the Al Qaeda allies who want to oust Ghadaffi.
Could it be that Farrakhan is less a terrorist than Obama?

Farrakhan, addressing 20,000 people at the annual Savior’s Day celebration in Chicago, {Feb. 2008} praised the Democrat presidential candidate, calling Obama “The hope of the entire world that America will change and be made better.”
He also compared Obama to the founder of Islam, remarking that both had a white mother and black father, according to the Associated Press. “A black man with a white mother became a savior to us,” Farrakhan said. “A black man with a white mother could turn out to be one who can lift America from her fall.”
