Qadaffi is not going to leave just because of a no-fly zone. It will take troops to remove him from power. Is Palin advocating that America put troops on the ground?

"America will have failed if we turn over command-and-control of this mission, and the mission of ousting Gaddafi is not fulfilled."

Since when is the mission to oust Qadaffi?!?

The article title is misleading but you probably knew that.

Palin lives in 0bambi’s mind, rent free!

Now that SOMEONE has stated a mission objective, and what constitutes failure, 0bambi is on the hook! LOL!

I was very disappointed in Palin. She drops several notches IMHO for her remarks on Libya last night.

He’s not going anywhere short of troops dragging him out... and frankly there is no damned REASON WE SHOULD BE THERE!!!!

Momar is ZERO threat to the region or the US. He’s been effectively contained for nearly 3 decades.

What happened in Libya is a rebellion.. they had some early success, and were on the verge of being absolutely whiped out, as any rebellion that fails is!!

Why the international community has put our boys in harms way for this is nonsensical to me. There was no risk of genocide, so humanitarian reasons is stupid. The civil war as literally HOURS from being over when the west and mostly the US started flinging bombs and cruise missiles.

If the goal was humanitarian, then a few more hours the war was over the rebels crushed and while I am no fan of Momar, mop up operations would go into effect and Libya would return to its status quo.

The excuses and lies being spewed by this administration are appalling! They are bald faced.. they are illegal, tehy are immoral and they are traitorous. And all the Bush lied people died crowd, quietly sits and says nothing.

Impeach this bastard already.

Sarah Palin is absolutely right.

The socialist terrorist Kaddafi must die.

Now that we have proof that he ordered the Pan Am bombing he must pay for his crimes.

Those who believe he is a "moderate muslim" or an ally of the USA in the War on Terror are deluded fools.

I think you're frustrated, ODK, that your stream of narratives aren't working on Palin regarding this issue.

Why don't you relax, grab a beer, and watch some basketball tonight? Go Bucky and Golden Eagles!

What about you?

Are you advocating that Palin take no position or multiple positions like rinos and progressives always do?

Palin is not sitting at the table with the Secretary of Defense and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. She’s simply illustrating the fact that we have no political leadership.

Stop trying too hard to find something that doesn’t exist.

I’m glad Sarah is being consistent - not like Newt who got caught in a huge flip-flop triangulating his position to be opposite Obama’s. This just highlights the difference between Sarah and the other candidates - she actually has a backbone.

If we acted sooner with the NFZ, the Libyans themselves might have removed him. They may yet do it.

Or maybe a smart missile could have done it, if we had the will to do it.

Mrs. Palin took a trip to India with her husband and gave a speech. She’s now a foreign policy expert.

Palin overslid the base on this one. Neither side likes the USA and It’s citizens including Palin. To me this fighting is just a repeat of centuries old disputes and fighting. Muslems by whatever ethnic background have been at it for a long time going back to biblical times. The USA gets no benefits from being involved in this internecine conflict unless for those that want USA power to be diluted/eliminated.The USA needs to stop throwing It’s protective resources around the world.

>> Is Palin advocating that America put troops on the ground?

Based on your article quotes, that’s unrelated to her stated consequent. Sarah simply stated the conditions of Obama’s actions. BTW, a mission failure is not necessarily complete failure for the West’s long term goals.

I interpret Palin’s remarks to be less FP oriented than to speak to the capacity of the WH occupant.

Nice job of taking one snippet out of a whole interview. I'd expect this from pissant, not you. FYI here is a transcript of the whole interview.
