On Fox Wednesday night, Sarah Palin said U.S. intervention in Libya will be a failure if Muammar Gaddafi remains in power.
"America will have failed if we turn over command-and-control of this mission, and the mission of ousting Gaddafi is not fulfilled.
It will be failure."

I don’t blame Hillary for Libya mess..I blame our gooofy executive branch foreign policy in general.
seriously..it’s not just me.
I support Palin more than some women I know who like her but hesitate because she is a female.
There are some capable women out there. Right now the women in the GOP are totally outshining the men to me.
I mean..Thatcher...Kirkpatrick...Sarah..Bachman...Millicent Fenwick was interesting....just not many women pols historically I’m keen on and it’s not cause I’m a pig...it’s just observance. I think Meir was actually a failure.
Evelyn Gandy was capable.....Elisabeth I as well...Catherine the Great so so...
that Briton chick..Bodicea...
I’m not blind to it but usually I go with the odds
but not this go around ..I like Sarah and Michelle better than any of the men
Anne Wintour is capable
I don’t think women have historically not lead nerar as much as men because we are oppressive but rather reflects a natural order that is on occasion eclipsed by circumstance, birth or talent as in the case now.
btw..tks for taking up for me..i was unaware I was still a target..i have learned to just have my say and move on...
but i do so detest harpies and with good reason as you well know
so thanks again
LOL..and hope you had a great weekend also.
Just wondering..are you up very early or very late?
When she says that she is in favor of a path to citizenship for illegals her words and meaning are clear.
When she calls for a NFZ (which always entails military action that can never be predicted) in support of a group about which she knows nothing, her lack of judgement is obvious.
When she can't name even one founding father (Beck interview) her lack of in depth knowledge is clear.
When she can't name even one SCOTUS case (Couric interview) her lack of knowledge is clear.
When she wrongly defines the military coup in Egypt as a fight for democracy her lack of understanding is clear.
Tweets, prepared speeches and FB posts do not equal knowledge, experience and capability.
My charge stands:
You are either telling a lie, or you did not read the thread in question. ... I reported the actions of a troll. I was in the right.
I did not say wardaddy was the troll in question. I won't identify the troll, because it would just give her more exposure, which is what she wants. But here is the thread I was discussing, which I am assuming wardaddy was referring to: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2692953/posts
You're right, but thankfully Palin has all of the above. Who's your candidate? What "knowledge, experience and capability" do they have? Do they know anything about energy or the economy?
Not joking at all. I have observed pissant troll pro-Palin threads many a time.
I have been on discussion boards since Usenet, and I know what a troll is. But here is the definition for you [it's from Wikipedia, but it will suffice]:
In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking other users into a desired emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
Pissant, and many other trolls here on FR, post inflammatory messages in pro-Palin threads designed specifically to get an emotional reaction out of Palin supporters like me and others. Do you deny this occurs?

Absolute, unadulterated liberal bilge. Of course, this is the standard refrain of any member of the Cult of Palin; Any criticism of Sarah must be sexist. It's the EXACT same kind of reflexive identity politics that bed-wetting liberals use to defend Obama from criticism - "Oh, conservatives don't like Obama so they must be racissss". It's a pathetic defense.
"I will give him credit for not saying Bachmannese...yet. ;o)"
Why would I or anyone use the word "Bachmannese"? Bachmann speaks English.
In Post #23, I provided a link to the ENTIRE interview, with the sentence, "Here is the complete video and transcript from the interview. People can make up their own mind."
You must have missed that.
I was up late. lol I had been out of town, threw an impromptu surprise party, and had jet lag longer than usual. Aging is a terrible thing. ;o)
I was serious about my post, though. Now, I’ve posted it to you, and I can forget it. I think that’s why I was able to sleep until seven this morning. ;o)
I don’t blame Hillary, either. She seems to be trying her dead level best to fix things. However, Obama has ceded control to a bunch of hens. She needs to be the alpha hen. ;o)
I know you aren’t a misogynist...you love and appreciate women too much.
You forgot one, though...Golda Meir. Whatta woman!!!
To state my position, I love conservative women! Most of them are very tough. I wouldn’t mind one bit if Michele Bachmann was our Secretary of Defense. ;o)
I’ve learned to log in at a certain time, answer my pings, and for the most part...move on. You know how I feel about the harpies. You are my FRiend and my friend. I will take up for you any time it’s warranted.
Okay...I figured out who you believe to be the “troll in question” is. However, she has been here much longer than you have, and apparently has a better track record than you do.
I guess that’s why she’s still here.
I hope you know that liberal use of the abuse button doens’t look good for you.
doenst sb doesn’t
Well, you’ve misunderstood me, then. I’m not a member of the cult of Palin.
However, I don’t understand unreasonable criticism of her.
Yep, you guessed it, although there could be others. LOL
Pardon me for not pinging the person in question. But that kind of attack is over the top. I also don’t like carrying that silliness from thread to thread.
I was set off by the foul tactic of accusing me of physical threats. You know as well as I do that threats of that nature would not be tolerated and I would be gone. If he is going to say something like that he needed to back that up with proof. But he didn’t.
I would not do that because I don’t take the debate so seriously with anyone that I would resort to that.
Many of us disagree with each other and we debate it and find a stopping point.
The part about the ex wife thing was downright odd. For a person that so vehemently supports a candidate that is known to say what she thinks, it is just odd. I also say what I think. I am not shy about picking on any of the potentials for their record or things they say. I am fair about that.
In the end a candidate will be chosen. I will vote for that person.
I don't think that well-found criticism of a politician's inadequate communication skills is "unreasonable criticism". The most important skill-set any president must have to be successful, is to be an able, effective and well-studied communicator. I don't think anyone looking objectively at Sarah Palin's press appearances the last several years, and especially as they relate to these latest events, can say that she's making an effective and informed case. She isn't.
Allow me to provide two examples. First, she said this on Greta in the interview I've posted on this thread...
Well, the U.N. obviously wants this -- the role to be of our military just a humanitarian effort per the U.N. resolution that America has been a part of and that's why we are engaged in enacting the no-fly zone.
Looking past the unique grammatical sentence structure, It's pretty clear that she agreeing with the UN, and that she supports the "humanitarian effort".
Just last night, Palin said the following (offering criticism of Obama) in another interview with Greta...
"He did not make the case for this intervention. U.S. interests have got to be met if we are going to intervene. And U.S. interests cant just mean validating some kind of post-American theory of intervention, wherein we wait for the Arab League and the United Nations to tell us thumbs up America, you can go now, you can act, and then we get in the back of the bus and we wait for NATO, we wait for the French to lead us. Thats not inspirational."
How does she square that, with what she has been saying for close to a month? I believe they call this, "talking out both side of your mouth".
Usually urban over educated Jewish or otherwise ladies. I remember that book Men Who Hate Women and The Women Who Love Them...a screed condemning most men and excusing women who fall for bad..as in politically incorrect ..boys.
Note there really is no such code word for women who are negative towards men and there is sure no shortage of that yet misogyny is now an oft used word to deflect like bigot, racist, environmentally insensitive, anti Semitic, xenophobic, homophobic or other code words like multiculturalism and diversity.
All of these words got popular after you and I attended college and have been used for ill purposes to deconstruct traditional values which in my mind had suited us well a long time.
Ted Bundy is a misogynist. My observance based generalizations on female leadership skills are maybe uncomfortable and unfair to the exceptions ..which I did qualify btw. As for Golda Meir...I am ignorant of her Israeli domestic skills and it is remarkable how she rose to power but she was a socialist by our standards and her unpreparedness for the Yom Kippur war which almost cost Israel their existence kept her off my short list.
I think women today are more empowered than the men are to say and do certain things in this culture war...and we are seeing the fruit of that. Especially on abortion...it's just not the same bite when a male politician rails against it.
If that is what it takes to turn this ship around then I have no issue with it.
But I do fear where all this will lead one day...unless things change I see several camps down the road. A few traditional families, a slew of women who think men are unnecessary raising kids they had made in the clinic basically, homosexuals doing the same and then the large underclass having illegitimate kids at the usual clip. Traditional families are being eclipsed as we speak.
The traditional family and role models for men and women...work, war, home, parenting...the whole deal is coming apart at the seams and it bodes very poorly to me for our future.
Technological convenience has allowed us to indulge beyond the boundaries of biologically influenced limits in a very short span of context based history.
Nothing short of a calamity in which western survival is at stake will stop this juggernaut.
rant/off
You are really trying to stir up trouble, aren't you?
I am NOT going to copy indylindy, because YOU are the one trying to stir up trouble now.
I am still here. The mods here in Palin Country haven't seen fit to zot Palin supporters, yet.
I will use the Abuse button any time I feel the need to do so. If the mods don't want me to, they will tell me.
Stop trying to intimidate me with your "we've been here longer than you" attitude.
More lies from the ex-wife troll. Typical. You know you talked about choking me, you know there was never a Palin quote, you know it was my opinion.
I will continue to post here in spite of trolls like you.
