President Obama
JERUSALEM President Obama's official statement on today's bombing at a crowded bus stop in Jerusalem included a clause expressing his "deepest condolences for the deaths of Palestinian civilians in Gaza yesterday."
The statement seems to draw a moral equivalence between today's attack in Jerusalem, in which Jewish civilians were targeted, and the death of four Palestinian civilians who were killed in an Israel Defense Force strike targeting a site used yesterday by militants in Gaza to launch mortars at nearby Jewish population centers.
Gazan terrorist groups routinely use civilian zones, including apartment buildings and hospitals, to launch rockets and mortars aimed at Jewish neighborhoods near the Gaza Strip.
The IDF said in a statement the army here believed it was targeting a terrorist rocket team and did not know civilians were in the area.
A 59-year-old woman was killed in today's blast in Jerusalem, with at least 38 people wounded in attack.

The IDF can write their condolences on some mortar rounds and send them over to the Palis.
The WND title leads one to believe that Obama offered sympathy only to the Palestinians. We have plenty to beat up Obama over, but this is not a good choice. Here is the statement:
“I condemn in the strongest possible terms the bombing in Jerusalem today, as well as the rockets and mortars fired from Gaza in recent days. Together with the American people, I offer my deepest condolences for those injured or killed. There is never any possible justification for terrorism. The United States calls on the groups responsible to end these attacks at once and we underscore that Israel, like all nations, has a right to self-defense. We also express our deepest condolences for the deaths of Palestinian civilians in Gaza yesterday. We stress the importance of calm and urge all parties to do everything in their power to prevent further violence and civilian casualties.”
I do not have a problem with this statement.
Thanks for the update. It has been at least three days since your last reminder.......added to your last 100 reminders. Again, a big THANKS!
My neighbor, like most U.S. Jews, will be voting for Obama again ... and inviting me to donate to some Israeli charity. The disconnect never ceases to amaze me.
WND is really a rag
“I do not have a problem with this statement.”
This statement, that I posted? I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.
I do. The `religion of peace’ gives us infidels three choices: conversion, capitulation & subjugation, or death. Period.
And I don’t believe a word his teleprompter says, most recently, for ex., that the war in Libya isn’t a war, that it isn’t regime change and it will last days, not weeks.
I believe his sympathies and ultimate loyalty will be with the muslim religion. This is why, I think, the Constitution requires that presidential candidates be `natural born citizens’.
Of course, you are free to believe what you want; it’s a great country, while it lasts.
Thanks.
“We have plenty to beat up Obama over, but this is not a good choice.”
This sounds like the old, “We’ve got better things to spend our time on than attacking his qualifications for office under the Constitution ... “
Like what? This site is comparable to `letters of correspondence’ in this county a couple hundered years ago, and I’ll admit that I’m partisan.
We should attack him with every weapon in our arsenal. Was this bomb set off by Israelis? No, they never are—they are exploded by murderous Arabs. And Zero is extending his sympathies to them. I think that may be the point some are trying to make.
Obama should mind his own business if he can’t stop lending aid and comfort to the enemy. He’s certainly got a full domestic docket but he can’t resist playing general and statesman. He’s neither.
Well you are wrong. It was despicable - and deliberate - to combine the two statements.
The real meaning is, “BTW you Jews killed some people too, so don’t think this statement means I am siding with you”.
I do. It creates the impression for the ignorant that there is a moral equivalency between the victims of a vicious terror attack and individuals who (if they were really even "civilians") were unfortunate to get caught in the middle of a defensive counter attack to another ARAB act of war.
The Israelis risk their own lives to help protect civilians. The Arabs fire warshots while hiding behind civilians.
Those who can't see the difference here are willfully blind.
PØS
The dinner for Rashid Khalidi, a real Israel hater, now spewing at Columbia U, Zero’s alma mater.
I long to be a fly on the wall when that tape is played.
