If she wanted to be taken seriously she needed to finish her term and then win Murkowski's Senate seat.
Hi Mitt.
This is Palin country. Speaking common sense is not allowed.
“Palin’s negatives are way too high. She would likely lose to Barry. We can’t afford to nominate another weak candidate and let that train wreck of a president get another term.”
__________
Reagan’s negatives are way too high. He would likely lose to Mondale. We can’t afford to nominate another weak candidate and let that train wreck of a Senator become president.
In any case, she's not a candidate. Not yet. But right now -- even as a private citizen with zero representative power and essentially nothing more than a pundit -- she is the epitome of strength in her appeal and in her focused message. Her books are best-sellers (look at the Amazon numbers). She draws thousands at public appearances. She speaks and the world is interested in what she has to say. Guys like Romney are ambiguous, equivocal, fuzzy -- in a word, weak.
Palin is strong because her message is clear and her image is clear. You think independents want middle-of-the-road? You're wrong; independents and indeed Americans in general are SICK AND TIRED OF MIDDLE-OF-THE-ROAD weakness and ambiguity. It LOSES. Independents LIKE clarity and decisiveness -- it's why they voted for Reagan in droves, and why they remain singularly aloof to mushy moderates like Romney.
Meanwhile, if you are paying attention to the real world rather than the false picture projected by the entertainment culture and the MSM, you will see that Obama is LOATHED, hated, despised, held in contempt, by a ratio of about ten to one (often more) by those who make online comments on non-conservative news sites such as Yahoo News, LA Times, and ABC.
Obama's popularity is pretend, make-believe.

LOLOLOLOL I’m glad you’re not her (or my) political strategist!
Palin has been taken seriously by the left, the Dems, the Rino establishment, and the media since 2008.....if she wasn’t there would be almost no mention of her in either the pundits in the media, or by polling firms. (Fact is a few weeks ago the media floated the idea of ignoring her as a way of marginalizing her. Yeah right...That’ll work! lololol and Pavlov’s dogs won’t drool if you ring a bell.)
Both of those thoughts, given the circumstances of a full out Alinski assualt on her governorship that she deftly sidestepped, and the lessor desiribility of a newly sitting Senator vrs a Former Governor, are less than well reasoned out on your part, and unlikely to gain much traction on this forum.
Sarah’s current negitive polling by firms nominally pushing leftward leaning results will turn around after the 2012 primary and general Presidential election seasons begin and people have a chance to compare the media image of her and the real person. For now, these things, polls and media hit pieces, are merely distracting background noise.
Hint: Don’t quit your day jobs.
