could have got some balls back then and demand he get back here when he got us into a war on his vacation with the freeloading mother in law and family. Nah they'll put their efforts into lightbulbs and go and do bills to cut NPR which will go no where. What a cowardly useless bunch they are. We're now in an illegal war because congress did not vote, MO and mother in law get another free vacation, Obama tells Brazil we want your oil meaning Soros stands to make billions with Petrobas thus some of that money goes to the election next year and the GOP does light bulbs give me frigging strength

I love my hot wire bulbs in winter. They have a special color and keep rooms warm in winter too.
This piece of crap PC legislation is a domination pimping social exercise against the people.
Why can’t I own infrared or uv lights that I may need, is the weirdest jack booted guilt making and arbitrary criminalization of the citizen yet.
They are provoking sneakily for a fed cop civil war. It’s obvious those government unions are behind this.

Although incandescents loose a lot of efficiency by creating heat, this is actually only a factor when the environment they are in isn't being heated. I really doubt that the new bulbs are any more efficient in the winter months, all things considered.

How about that the new bulbs cost 8 times as much and last about the same as incandescents.

Call your Representative NOW. There are too many dim watts in Congress that would pass such legislation.
Save the light bulb...for the children.
To: manc
Yep, but you left out that Obama lent (gave) Brazil $2 Billion to drill for more oil that we’ll buy from them. *shaking head*

I love my hot wire bulbs in winter. They have a special color and keep rooms warm in winter too. That's the truth. When I'm working on my model trains, I've got a traditional art lamp on an articulated arm. It's nice to be able to bring the light up to the work, both for illumination and warmth!

I’ve started stockpiling. Every time I go to the grocery store for anything I drop a buck for 4 Edison bulbs.

Also, if you like to use a dimmer switch (I have them in my dinning room and dining area in my kitchen-I love to use candles and dim the chandelier), they won't work with the dimmer.

You are correct. The last plant to mfg bulbs shut down about 2-3 months ago IIRC
To: BunnySlippers
And what about the mercury in the neww bulbs? That is pretty hazardous.

sorry missed that
Soros off this trip will make billions, Petrobas makes billions, our tax money was used to do the deal. The money made will go to the election next year.
American companies cannot drill.
What a scam and I can’t believe no one is mentioning this from the right or any where.
Still MO , mother in law and mother in laws friend had a good free vacation WTH
o and lets also forget about a war which is illegal as congress never got to vote on it, a war which has nothing to do with us at all, why we’re even there is beyond me.
He obama said we’ve saved lives, LOL yes did we create some too
I can’t believe that people are dumb enough to fall for this crap, I really can’t.
We know the biased media cover for him but for crying out loud this is so obvious what is going on.

We may buy more, but so far we managed to hoard 100, 100-watt incandescent light bulbs.
We need them to keep the chicken house from freezing, same with the pump-house. I leave one on in my boat during the winter and the garage stall where I keep my Harley.
Screw this nanny government.

RE :”
Is the traditional 100-watt incandescent light bulb about to go the way of the Tyrannosaurus Rex? Some Republicans on Capitol Hill hope not. They want to overturn the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007, signed by then-President George W. Bush. The law requires all 100-watt incandescent light bulbs to be almost 30-percent more energy efficient by Jan. 1, 2012. Since that means higher production costs, manufacturers in America have stopped making the traditional bulbs. Some consumers have already started stockpiling the old-model bulbs, complaining that the replacements cast a unattractive light compared to the warmth of incandescent bulbs.’
I am stocking up with real light bulbs now and yes: this stupid energy bill GWB signed. This is a reminder of what a RINO president will do with a Democrat liberal Reid/Pelosi congress. This and ethanol mandates that Bush signed make me livid. What hope did we have in this situation? Who do you protest?
