But..But...the vitamin content and other health related increases in foods is just like feature increases on tv’s, etc. so there is no resulting increase in inflation.

The price index for groceries is expected to surge 3 to 4 percent nationally this year, according to the US Dept. of Agriculture. From the article: The Post calculated the average cost of 12 grocery items at three Manhattan supermarkets:
2010 total: $50.74
2011 total: $59.85
The 3-4% inflation rate in food is a pure lie.

Gee who would have thought that burning our food for fuel and constantly printing money would cause prices to rise.

I’ve noticed a significant downsizing in the packaging, along with the rise in price.
I thought I was getting a heck of a deal on Pringles yesterday, a buck a can. Til I got home and realized it was about 3 inches shorter than the original.
They’re also packaging cereal in these little $1 size boxes. Catering to small budgets but the unit price skyrockets.

The FED basically printed $1.25 Trillion to buy-out dud mortgages, and also is now the largest holder of US Treasuries.
That money was created out of thin air, and is now flowing into the economy overall.
Money printing and inflation of the money supply is a TAX, which you never voted for.

That kind of food is bad for you anyway. There should be a triple tax on it.... spoken like a Manhattan liberal.

Grocery prices are expected to increase 3 to 4 percent this year and the world is up in arms. Gasoline has increased 30 percent in a MONTH.
You want to see gouging?
Look in the right place.

When diesel fuel soars, so soar prices at the grocery store. We can thank Obama for being in the tank with enviro-terrorists and global warming financiers.
Though kooks warn different, drill here; drill now will lower prices, and the US can’t endure European level prices for fuel.

I work in New Jersey, and I can’t believe the difference. The same box of cereal that they sell in Manhattan for $5.89, I can get for $2 in New Jersey when it’s on sale, and $2.89 when it’s not.
Naturally, it’s not fun to lug home your groceries on the PATH train, but the saving make it worthwhile.

-sure, its the supermarket’s fault, not the jack@ss and the policies you Manhattanites overwhelmingly voted for. The left, it’s never our fault.
(with apologies to the NY’ers who didn’t drink the cool-aid)
