Potassium Iodide.
Get it quickly
CNN is talking about explosion of “the outside building” but is still making it sound like maybe only outer building around containment exploded. saying if containment affected then radiation levels will confirm shortly. No, CNN is live.
Fox is talking about possibility of unfprecedented disaster.
The CNN expert is in London but he keeps saying it may be the outer ablove ground building and the reactor wil be further down, he is saying MAYBE it is just the outer structure which contains cranes and other equipment. Seems all the CNN coverage so far was from London.
This is not the day to quite drinking.
what is ki?
.... sigh .... That's probably good advice, but really...you ought to call it a night, my friend. You're gonna have a heart attack, if you don't calm down.
Zooms of the live video show building parts blowing out just ahead of the smoke. That might be what you are seeing.
I work with nukes in Illinois, different roles, and I can tell you jumping to conclusions really is probably a bad thing to do right now. Until you know more about the actual release path and start running your plume models, assuming fantastically enormous disbursal at meaningful rates of exposure is just irresponsible. It’s a very old reactor, so it’s not as robust as the newer plants, but it probably is a lot weaker too, and that, right now, is a good thing. To paraphrase Charlie Sheen, panic is for losers.
Serious posting.
The USAF base Misawa has iodine in volumes. I would imagine the Japanese military has large amounts as well.
LOL what would cuase an explosion between the contaiment wall and the outer building that powerful
Just watched it and they showed video of the explosion and were definitely soft-pedaling it. I’d like to know what blew up, if it wasn’t the reactor.
where does one get potassium iodide?
yes...fox is finally live....................is this going to be an all nighter, freepers?
hydrogen rupture?
Could be intense heat rays loaded with infrared light coming off the oddly shaped rods. Pink has always been an odd color in nature. I have seen pinks and purples that were close to blue light. Violet for example looks a little blue pink at times. Probably just camera/tv problems.
It is just a video artifact - an interference pattern - it is not "pink visible radiation".
Good day to start . : )
That’s it. If the reactor was flooded in an emergency cool down, the resulting vapour could be left building up pressure in the secondary containment, which could have triggered the “explosion”.
There is no information about the first containment, but in this mode of failure, it could still be in good shape.
re: Your android phone.... When you been on the phone non-stop for ten days, and the battery still shows full.... you have a problem.
I took my KI, for others on here, it’s potassium-iodine.
You have to saturate your system before you get exposed.
Charlie Sheen's got twisted definitions for "winning" and "losing", thank you.
