sounds like the rim of fire will be moving and shaking for some time. Here on the North American west coast, included.

Whole lota shaken going on.

Prayers for those who have suffered in the recent earthquakes.

I don’t think we will ever know the total number of people lost in Japan.

Considering that the Japanese keep scrupulous records of both births and deaths, I think they will be able to get a fairly close number.

Yes, I'm aware...I'm from California. However they usually don't occur within hours of a magnitude 8.9, which increases their newsworthiness, if not the likelihood that they may be related.

We've had 21 in the last 24 hours alone...

I thought Armageddon was scheduled for next year. I suppose the Mayas had a faulty algorithm - as a former computer programmer I can sympathize: leap year every four years except every even century years, except every 400 years, got it?

I have been reading through the website of the guy who coined the term SuperMoon. I haven’t seen any public postings about the latest earthquake.

He mentioned possibilities from March1-7 and then March 16-22

The Bible teaches that one of the signs of the second coming of Jesus is earthquakes in different places. We’ve had them over the years, but, nothing like the frequency and magnitude of what’s happening now.

I suspect the number will be surprisingly small. My guess will be under 5000.

When my uncle lived there he said they drilled for the various possible disasters all the time. Said they kept a running tally of who entered and left the building he worked in and everyone knew where they belonged if there was a quake or something for another count.
